Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
What happens at Spanky's stays...........
I've had my BT2 for a year now and gig weekly. I came from Acme (low B4 and 2 flatwound 112's) and at times the Low B4 wasn't enough for some venues. At first, I was using the BT2 with an Avalon U5 into the poweramp of an Aguilar DB750 but soon switched from the DB to a QSC plx 1802 bridged. I use a decent amount of synth and down octave effects on one of my gigs and that is generally when I run the BT2 to it's limit; volume wise the BT2 gives way more than the 112 stack and a bit more than the low b4. I have a few rock gigs where I use a VT bass deluxe > U5 > QSC and the BT2 grinds out some amazing rock tones VERY loudly.
To put it differently, when this cab gets kicking and you look over at it... its hard not to believe its going to just blow itself apart from the volume it is putting out.

Man, I wish that was true. Most of the time, it ends up on the interwebz, somewhere, and somebody's gettin' in trouble for it...

I spend 10% of my time in austin now. I have a place off zilker.. But I'm up in N Texas 89% of the time now for my wife is ill and her doc is here.
I do need to get down to check up on some stuff soon. But most likely after the holidays, so maybe we can meet up then.. I appreciate the offer....
I have had my eye on other super cabs. One being the fearless F115 since i like the wedge/ monitor idea that it;s able to do.
But I keep hearing stories like the ones above on the Barefaced stuff. And i like the idea of either a 2 way like the BB2 or simply full range source like the SC or Super Twin..
I saw a video earlier of Kringle77 and his Super Twin. Frankly, with the right preamp or amp head That could be a fine cab. If the Treble control is rather active.......
I forgot what a No Tweeter cab that tops off at 4K can sound like.
Its been years since Ive used a Non Tweet cab .. I barely turn the tweeter up on any cab that i currently have, So a tweeterless cab may be more my thing..
On the GIG listening is the best way for me to tell..
I do remember using a Bag End NoTweet rig for years and i never missed a Tweet in that cab..

Mine arrived yesterday Big twin II. I only had a short time to try it out but taking to rehearsal room tonight so I should get a better idea of what it can do later. The Amp is a QSC2402 so should give me 700w with that 4ohm cab. I hope looks are decieving as it doesn't look like it will deliver 700w of clean bottom ended reggae bass at stage volume but we shall see.

Please let us know how it does. I've been using my SC with an Orange TB 1000 for reggae practice and it does pretty well.

You should try and bridge that amp with that cab. From the word on the street it will open up the head room a bit.
I bridge my ProLite 3.0 into my BB2's. Just be careful, that's A LOT of power to wield and will still smoke those cones if not used with care.
The 12" drivers do not distort before failure. They just give out. Because of this Alex adds a circuit that makes a nasty noise before you hit this point. I don't know what that noise is but he claims you will know when you hear it. I have never pushed them that far as they are too loud to begin with. And, yes, a bridged power amp delivering lots of clean power will open these cabs up and has a wonderful, powerful feel, liking stepping on the gas pedal of a huge V8 engine.

They do, they distort way before failure! And it isn't subtle, they go from very clean to rather gnarly quite suddenly and it doesn't sound pretty. There's a big margin for error, they're pretty much unblowable with clean bass sounds. However, I wouldn't bridge that amp straight away, run just one side with the limiter on - but if you hear it clipping, then bridge it and leave the limiters off. And use the 30Hz filter regardless.
Am I dreaming or did I recently read or see you speaking in one of your videos and you said you had put a circuit in to make a noise before the driven is damaged

We did experiment with a limiter/breaker circuit on an early prototype driver which didn't have enough thermal handling for its mechanical handling - not sure if I mentioned that in a video? But we have designed all our drivers to have a big margin between making bad noises and suffering damage - I think it's absolutely critical in bass cab drivers, even more than with guitar drivers, or mid-bass PA drivers or PA subwoofer drivers.
It takes a LOT of power AND a LOT of nasty sounding effects or a LOT of power AND a LOT of stupidity to blow Barefaced cabs!
I know I designed it but the sound coming out of Timmy C's Two10 (which is solely used for his heaviest distortions) is so frighteningly LOUD and (good) nasty that it amazes me that that cab has done so many gigs without ever blowing. That's using either an SVT2 Pro (300W all-tube) or an Orange AD200B (200W all-valve) into it. Yes, it's designed to handle 500W but still... OMFG mental.
