The last movers we hired damaged a bunch of stuff.

On my 210 the cloth grill is velco’ed on, although I had to use pliers on the staps to get it off, you could reverse the orientation. Maybe looks weird if you ever use the 210 horizontal. Depends on your level of OCD (mine is up there...)

And so, after a long awaited couple of years...

Barefaced Cabinet #2 ordered!!! My BB2 has been just reliable and awesome as it was the day I bought it, but a Super Midget 2 will give me that boost I need for outdoor gigs. I started gigging with a working band part time and they've got stuff lined up all over the place. The BB2 has been driven by one side of my Mesa M9 Carbine (which I love), so it can push about 320W @8ohm or thereabouts, but I've never had to actually turn my Master up past noon at a gig, since none of the musicians I play with want to go deaf. For outdoors, it will be good to push more air and get the full range of the amp.

But the cool thing I think with this combination is that it covers all of my musical styles really well. I play everything from classic rock to jazz, R&B, modern stuff like Bruno Mars, softer stuff like Jack Johnson, heavier stuff like Beck and Muse and Guthrie Govan (if my fingers feel like cooperating, damn you, "Wonderful Slippery Thing"!) So I'm looking forward to having the option of grabbing the SM2 or the BB2 for whatever seems right for a gig.

And the big laugh I always get from other musicians is my Mesa head in its rack case is heavier than my cabinets... maybe a Subway is due for backup/practices :) Can't beat that M9 tone paired through the Barefaced though! And it all fits nicely in my Subaru car.

I noticed the odd alignment of nameplates when using the Two10+One10 configuration... but I am not THAT OCD, and since I use the cabs individually, and also use the Two10 standing upright when used alone, and the Two10 with a Four10, with frequency, the nameplates will be strangely oriented no matter what at some point depnding on the set-up.

Congrats, I think you will really like adding the SM to your BB2. I use them individually and together often, and being able to pick a cab, or cabs, that perfectly suits the gig is great. Please share you observations once you've gotten it.

Thank you! We'll be moving in a couple weeks. I think I'm going to chance it with the movers and my cab, but it's boxed tightly with a padded cover and plenty of packing material. We're insured for full replacement value, so I took plenty of pics in case there are any problems.

Do you adjust your crossovers at all? Do you think you gain anything with the second cone? I'm hoping the BB2 + SM2 saves me some space and weight, gives me a little versatility and pushes enough air outdoors when paired together to make the guitarist feel inadequate with his stack :)

What crossovers?

I absolutely gain a lot with the 2nd cab. One is good, but it's not going to cover all of the gigs my band does.

Even with two it's loud but I've pushed this stuff to its limits outdoors on a bunch of gigs. I want to add a 3rd BB2 or make the switch to a pair of four10's.

I'll add in a HPF to cut the lows out a little so they're not eating up so much of my power. It helps a lot.
