I have 2 SC's, I stack them on their sides and they are very stable. If you play on a stage where they can fall over, the rest of the band will have fallen over first.
If you like the sound of 1 SC, 2 will knock your socks off. Literally, 2 SC's can go very loud. Another suggestion: last year I tried an SC + SM combination and I think I slightly preferred it to the 2 SC's. IMO a little more definition. My cab budget is spent so no chance for me to buy an SM for awhile.
I ran the 2x10 at 12 ohms, with a BB800 for one rehearsal. I didn't fiddle with EQ much, but noticed it didn't seem to go quite so deep, as effortlessly as it does at four ohms. I probably could have fixed that with a little more attention to the tone controls, but it was still pretty good. The master was running at around three, or nine o'clock, really low and still plenty loud.
Your comment intrigued me. I have 1 SC and I do like it very much. I've been thinking about adding a 2nd one. My question may seem a bit weird but here it is: I understand the increase in volume, but is there any other audio benefit to having 2 of them stacked together?
Hi, apart from the volume, the sound is fuller and there seems to be more authority in the notes. Sorry I can't explain the technicalities.

I only had the 12 ohm version. I ran the 800 watt Demeter head into it. It was loud enough. Sounded fine. Nothing to compare/contrast though.
I have in a few cases with my D800+, both for hosting open mic as well as a couple rehearsals where I didn't want to bring the Four10. It got plenty loud. I would have run it at 4 ohms but I was afraid my D800+ would obliterate the speakers, so I decided to play it safe and leave it on 12 ohms. It was plenty loud... able to be heard over a loud drummer.
I have declined to offer my rig as backline for that reason too - 800w into 4ohm 210 is manageable for me, but sharing seems too risky. A 2nd cab and/or 12ohm option seems much safer in that situation.
Very interested in the guitar cabs. I would only need a GX model I think for my needs, but not sure what amp to match with it.
Quilter has the early lead as I do like the idea of buying an American made amp, but really I just want a simple solid state amp that ideally has the signal chain set up so that I can adjust the master volume for on stage use without it ruining the FOH level if I go direct out (like I do currently with my Mesa Subway D-800 and Super Compact setup). I realize that some Quilters don't have the DI feature though.
Did anyone else catch the video for the guitar cabs today?

I saw the cabs on their site but haven't seen the demo yet. I currently run a Quilter Overdrive 200 into an Avatar Forte 3D replica loaded with a Swamp Thang and it's a great gig setup. I don't use the DI, though, as it's not speaker emulated; I just put a SM57 on the cab. I had a Yamaha THR100H that had a killer DI with multiple speaker cabinet IR models, but it had very little output power despite being rated at "100 watts." The Quilter, on the other hand, I totally believe is 200 watts; it can peel paint!
Sort of off topic but I've never bought anything internationally before, I'm in the US and if I pay on the barefaced website with my paypal linked to a credit card, will my credit card get hit with foreign transaction fees on top of what I'm paying to barefaced?
Unless they've changed their system, yes. For international transactions, I use a Capital One Venture Visa with no international transactions fees. Definitely check with your credit card company before you buy to find out what their policy is.
Yeah the Quilter's I've looked at online are either 50 or 100, Barefaced has the cab listed as 75. I'm not sure if this is similar to the bass cabs where they can likely handle more if you use a clean sound?
I emailed them with a few questions, hopefully they are able to get back to me this weekend. I have a good 20% off code online that expires soon and I've already checked, it works with the Quilter's!

The speakers in the Barefaced guitar cabs aren't propriety like their bass drivers, though; The British voicing is an Eminence Ramrod and the American voicing is an Eminence Patriot, so the 75 watt rating likely is the actual figure. They add a low cut switch to the cabs, though, so they may provide more headroom, and the unique dispersion pattern most likely results in more perceived volume. That's why I chose a Forte-style 1x12 as they use clever baffling, in a similar vein to the Barefaced (but different), that cleans up the sound and prevents phase cancellations. Traditional open back cabs are quite inconsistent from room to room for that reason.
If you pay with the card direct you will pay in US dollars at whatever rate they use on the day to ''sell'' you the Euro or GBP they used to pay Barefaced but there is no "fee'' as such. Barefaced will eat a merchant fee at their end.
You could also pay bank to bank like the rest of the world. That would also get a fee on Barefaced end.
I went all the way through the cart and was at paying in USD or GBP for which one to send. There wasn't any further notifications of extra fees by them or warnings stating that there my be an additional fee from my credit card provider. I'll reach out to paypal now, I figured others here have paid this way and would know first hand. Thanks for the info.
