Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

I went all the way through the cart and was at paying in USD or GBP for which one to send. There wasn't any further notifications of extra fees by them or warnings stating that there my be an additional fee from my credit card provider. I'll reach out to paypal now, I figured others here have paid this way and would know first hand. Thanks for the info.
Is that in a PayPal box?

ah ok. On the barefacedaudio site you can select paypal or credit card so I chose paypal and went to the submit page but stopped being unsure of the possible foreign fees.

If the transaction happens through an international merchant, and your card provider charges fees, you will be charged an international transaction fee. According to the checkout page on the barefacedaudio.com site, all funds are paid in British pounds, and the conversion rates are approximate. This applies no matter what method you're using to pay.

Did anyone else catch the video for the guitar cabs today?

I caught most of the live-stream show. Pretty laid back, I enjoyed it.

Maybe I am a hair-trigger but now this bass player has G.A.S. for guitar cab. I think that would rock with the Quilter 45 watt pocket amp.

I know a couple guitar players that could use one of those pointed RIGHT AT THEIR HEAD. ... oh did I say that out loud...??? -_-

Thanks for the help guys, I verified with PayPal they do exactly as @NorseBear0903 just stated. Did you send it as USD or GBP? PayPal does give an option.

I pay with paypal b/c when I tried a bank transfer the first time I ordered, there were numerous problems getting it through (mostly on the bank end). So, after a couple of days of trying, I did Paypal and it was easy and seamless.

My recollection also is that there was like a 3% charge for Paypal since Barefaced has to pay that fee to paypal (this was the case in APril of this year at least). It was worth it IMO. And yes, Paypal automatically converts the GBP price into USD for your payment.

I do not believe there would be an additional foreign transaction fee from whatever credit card you have linked your paypal to, since THAT transaction, CC to Paypal, is domestic. I certainly don't recall seeing any such charge on my CC.

Not paypal related, but there is a 5% tariff for importation of loudspeakers into the US from GB, which comes as a separate bill later, from FedEx.

Anyone here pair up a BB2 or Two10s with another brand cab for a louder gig that calls for a little more and you only own 1 Barefaced cab? Just curious if it was a good or bad fit, I know speaker sensitivity is a big factor with this working or not.

I tried pairing my SC with an Eden EX112 and was not thrilled with the result. I don't know the technicalities but it seemed as though they were interfering with each other's sound. Somewhat louder but muddier.

I tried my Audiokinesis Hathor 1203 on top (on its side, fits perfectly) of my BBII.
That worked pretty well.

I finally tested my Super Midget at rehersals. I used my BB800 with power around 150 watts so not super loud but loud enough for the drummer. Everything sounded just perfect with amp controls set flat, just a passive P and my Super Midget.
I actually liked the tweeter A LOT at higher volumes and ended up heaving it almost on full (around 75%). Next time I'm gonna bring my board so I can test a couple of dirt pedals with the tweeter. At home, I usually like the teweeter on 30/40% but in the mix is different, I guess.
Everybody liked the tone and asked me about the cab specs, especially the weight.

Had a double on Sunday.
First was a brunch with the trio; vox, gutar, bass. The SC is only getting 150 watts from the TH350 yet filled the room beautifully.
Second was an invitation blues jam with drums, guitar, harmonica (thru a Super) and two horns. Quite loud stage w PA support. Mesa D800 into the SC and "let that dog hunt"...wish I had put her up on a milk crate, but she barely broke a sweat.
I love the tone from this cab. Rich clear mids. Goes deep and high as I will ever want.
And how great is the load out!
I was thinking to get a second SC but unless I'm on very wide, loud stages with poor FOH, it won't be needed. But who can really say if the "need/want boundary" even exists?

I'm curious: Why use the TH350, when you have a D800?
I have a GB Shuttle 3.0 which I haven't used with my SC, since I got a D800+.

For the trio gigs we have to fit into tiny spaces. The TH350 leaves room on top for the Fishman Loudbox. I have been using a Fender Rumble100, which sound great, but the SC with either head is irresistible.

@friskinator was right on the conversion fees, I still got hit with the foreign transaction fee on my credit card even though I went through paypal. Not a deal breaker as I can't wait to get a Two10s but it would've been nice to save the extra $30.

Yeah, that sounds about right. But hopefully FedEx will forget to send you the import tax bill after it arrives. I never received one, and a few others here never did either. I want to eventually buy another One10, but since I'm in Canada now, I'm looking for a used one. I really don't want to risk paying the 20% import tax here for a new one.

When I ordered my Two10, Fedex never sent me an import bill. They did for my Four10 however.
