Sounds spot on in combination, but gives great options too if you want to take just one of either. Basically i've got three cab set up options there. Amp wise I have a TC BH550 and the Magellan - the cabs sound superb with either.
All lightweight loveliness too & an easy fit into the car!! Failures aside, can't see me spending anything on backline for a very long time now!!
Can't crank it too loud in my apartment so now I need a gig!

Two10s @ 4ohm and a One10 is some serious business with a WD800 @ 2ohms. I haven't tried my D800+ with it yet though. I'm going to experiment this weekend in a large rehearsal space using that combination and a BB2 with the Two10s so how the 10s and 12 mesh. I tried it at home today and liked what I heard. Hmmm I could just use all 3....View attachment 3368956 Just got a Two10s to complement my One10! Sounds great with my Mesa D-800+. Great vintage tones with a tighter bottom than my Rumble 500c (which is no slouch).

I had the opportunity to try out the whole subway line of amps and a 400+ with my four 10 recently. I own the d800. Man, what an upgrade the +, wd and 400+ are in terms of midrange and top end. The d800 is very dark and one of the 3 others I played will be my next amp for sure.
For anyone thinking the barefaced 10's won't have enough top end you'll be surprised with the right amp.
Barefaced 10s are perfect with the WD. Plenty of top end and cuts through the mix perfectly for me.
I love my WD with both my Four10 and Two10... my last gig I ran both cabs together. A good friend of mine's band opened up for us and he used my rig. He's played bass since the 70s and used to tour up and down the east coast. By the end of their set, he told me it was the best live bass tone he's ever had. I haven't convinced him yet to swap cabs, but he's definitely getting closer.
I had the same issue with the D800 - I could never get enough cut on the high end. I never wanted to get into GK territory, but the lack of bright switch and the high mid control being too low for me prevented me from ever getting along great with that amp. I sold off my D800+ as soon as I got the WD and gigged it once.
I've been keeping my eye out for BF cabs on the TB classifieds. Did anybody notice that yesterday a Super Twin went up for sale at an asking price about 10% less than the US shipped price for a new unit, and was gone in less than an hour?

Yup, they don't usually last long, and they seem to hold their value quite well. I've been looking for a used SC for quite awhile now.
They really hold their value especially here in the states. I saved about 10% on a BB2 months ago but unfortunately a corner was damaged in transit. Luckily on the bottom port corner and doesn't affect the structural integrity but definitely hurts resale value (isn't going anywhere anyways).
Knowing what I know now I should've just gone new. Can't complain though, it's a beast.
Sounds promising what I hear about the BF tens + mesa. I run a d800+ and are awaiting a two10, my first BF 10s cab, super excited

D800 sounded a bit mid scoop and dark to my taste with my both SM and One10 so I sold it and bought Quilter BB800 which is a bliss with both.
How did you set the 'voicing' control?
All the way off I find no scoop whatsoever (I can't stand mid-scoop sounding amps), the first quarter/third of its travel is pretty sweet I thought. But I have to admit that I only used a D800 for a day, my personal experience mostly comes from the D800+ which may be voiced slightly differently.
I did find the D800 too dark, and that's why I didn't get the one I was 'test driving' at the time. The D800 didn't feel dark to me, the 'bright' switch is permanently on on mine and it just gives it the 'air' I felt was missing from the D800.
I never tried a Quilter, but I hear lots of great things about them. It makes me curious, but at the same time I don't want to try one, just in case: two years of bliss with the D800+ and a couple of Two10... that's very unusual for me and I don't want to rock the boat

I went from the BB800 to the D800+ and now the WD800. I sold the BB800, it was nice and powerful but I just didn't like its eq capabilities. I constantly struggled cutting through the mix and the DI really isn't a DI, it's an xlr out that's tied to the master output. I didn't have any barefaced cabs then though, ymmv.

Correct about the DI, but I've never had problem of cutting through the mix with BB800. It seems to me to have more heft than the other class D amps I owned. As for the EQ capabilities I can hear you, but I've always been plug and play kinda guy so I prefer flat amp settings with dialing in my onboard preamp.

A quarter or up to half way on. That was my favorite. I even didn't touch the EQ as voicing knob made all the job for me.
