I have the opportunity to get a nice '69er, I was wondering how good it would work with my SVT CL.
Any of you already tried this combination ? Any advice ?

I had 1 of the first 69er's here in the US. I used it with a DB751 and a Mesa Walkabout. Gives a good sound with both of those, although I preferred the Walkabout for my needs. The SVT should mate nicely, I believed that's what Alex originally designed it to work with, at half the weight.
Happy new year to everyone. Today makes 16 weeks since putting in my order for the six10. Has anyone received one or heard anything from Alex?
Yeah, well that was for the 2x10 which was supposed to come out after the 6x10. I know Alex was talking about doing some 2x10's first to get the tolex thing down. In one e-mail he said something about having issues doing the tolex and in another he said there wasn't so, either way, better communication would be nice. This is why I cancelled my origional order for a 69'er. I was in the que for the better part of a year and got fed up with waiting. Im sure this cab will kill but, for that kind of price you expect alittle bit of customer service and accountability. 4 weeks, fine. 16+ with no real explanation, ***?
Hi fella - don't hold your breath - I waited MONTHS for my gen 2 BT - even when I was told it was ready for dispatch and asked to pay the balance it took another 6 weeks. I would say the cab is truly fantastic but the buying experience was very poor. In their defense they did deal with initial issues I had with the cab being faulty - I wouldn't use anything else. I have just ordered a 2X10 but I am expecting to have to wait a fair while - I take the delivery estimates on the site with a HUGE pinch of salt. The product is fantastic BUT personally I feel a lot of heartache could be avoided by just a little bit of contact from BF as the weeks/months role by and you think 'have they forgotten me' - Being busy is no excuse - these are premium prices after all. I am sure they are all nice people at BF and wouldn't want anyone on this forum to think I was being personal - I simply relay my own experience - no doubt plenty of buyers have had an A1 buying experience - mebe I was unlucky. Still - at the end of the day - despite all this I have ordered another cab so that shows how good the product is! Cheers!
Your experience and opinion mirror mine 100 ÷. This will be my fourth order and 3rd actual purchase. Probably the last one though. Sadly.

As a small business which does everything from design, through manufacture to sales and shipping, we are by our very nature spread rather thin. Generally when someone's order is delayed it's because there are other complications holding it up:
1. Getting a new model into full production
2. Major manufacturing challenges - setting up CNC production (2012) and moving the factory (2014)
3. Stock control problems.
It was the latter which delayed tommo's Gen 2 Big Twin (for some inexplicable reason the European distributor was holding zero stock of 3012LF woofers despite them supplying us for years - they ended up having to get them made and air-freighted at their cost!) and new model launch issues delayed Gillento's first cab and kringle's (Chris) '69er and Six10.
These posts got me rather paranoid that we were doing really badly on meeting our delivery estimates - I thought we'd got much better at providing realistic information in recent times, so I had to look back and see what had happened with Chris and Gilles' cabs.
Regarding Chris's Super Twins, on 4th Feb I said probably late March delivery for the first. We requested payment of the balance on 25th Mar but didn't receive it until 4th Apr, and the cab was shipped on 10th Apr. The second was ordered 23rd Apr, estimate was 4-8 weeks delivery and it was received 3rd June. So with the first cab we were couple of weeks late. With the second cab we were on schedule (6 weeks to be precise).
Regarding Gilles' second cab (the first was ordered before we'd even finishing designing the production version and he knew that because we told him to keep it a secret), in Nov we said Jan/Feb delivery and it was received at the end of Jan. On schedule. As Gilles said: "I am kind of positively surprised, how fast things went this time
"
I'm sorry we don't reply to all the "when am I going to get my cab" emails as promptly as we'd like but they're rarely easy to answer until a cab is actually in production, so they're almost as time consuming as writing this post (but I had to find out how much we'd been failing our estimates).

I can quote some of my emails too but, whats the point. Alex, you guys build the best cabs available and thats the only reason some of us have waited so long. Maybe you should just add a certain amount of time to your estimates so that you are under less pressure and customers have a more realistic expectation. Thats all. Im not posting anything else on this.

Chris, our estimates on existing models are pretty accurate now - that was my point. On forthcoming models they haven't been and we've learnt henceforth to be very pessimistic about how long they'll take. But of the two existing production models which you ordered you received one slightly late and one on time. If it was easy to build cabs this good (and make money doing it) then everyone would be at it!

You are perfectly right about the second cab. And your CS regarding the X-over issue was PEFRECT!!!!!
loving the super midget off axis right now. previously, i had it set so it was ear level and aimed at my face when i was sitting and playing in my practice area. i rearranged a few things and now it faces away from me by about 90 degrees, and it is on the floor behind my super compact. the tone i'm getting is very nice. i honestly expected it to be pretty meh given the placement. i'm guessing what i'm hearing now is more of what others would hear in a room. in fact, the last time i jammed with it, i was standing beside the cabinet, so it wasn't beaming into my ears. i shouldn't be shocked by this, but it is a pleasant surprise.
I have been eyeing the super-midget for a few months now. Thanks for your thoughts on it and if you have any more - I'd love to read them! How much space are you filling with it? What kind of amp are you driving it with?

Can't type much now but I'll certainly expand it later.
I mostly run it with a Genz Shuttle 9.0. I just added a tonehammer pedal to it. I've tried it with a Mesa Buster too. I'm running a Nash P and J bass along with a new Spector Forte SS.
I've tried it in my apartment and low volume rehearsals mostly. I've jammed in a decent sized rehearsal room with drums, guitar, and keys. The drummer is loud and the guitarist was using a 212 combo. The SMidget and Genz couldn't keep up in the low end. The SCompact I have was loud enough though. The two stacked was great and my audiophile guitarist complimented my rig.
I haven't had a lot of quality time with it yet. I love how light it is, although it didn't cross my mind that that would make it seem less strong (not sure I'd want to sit on it or put a rack of gear on it like I would with my Eden 2x12!) The cover is a little thinner than I'd like. Not padded, but it's well crafted and serves its purpose pretty well nonetheless.
I turned it up (with a 500 watt head) loud enough (for a VERY brief moment) that my kids said it hurt their bodies.
I'll use it for a fund raiser gig this Saturday, I'm very much looking forward to giving it a workout then!
