What are you getting? Inquiring minds and all.

I sold my 610 cos it was too much cab 99% of the time. Tried a bunch of others and was left wanting so I begrudgingly (I've had a poor customer service experience with Barefaced previously) ordered a 410.
Also picking up a 210 for smaller gigs. so I'll basically have a 610....

18% plus taxes? 13% in Ont so 31%???

No 13% sales tax and potentially another 5% in duties. Plus whatever fees the courier decides they want to charge you on the day which seems to be pulled out of a hat sometimes. Around 18-20% total

Certain couriers companies charge different fee's though don't they? My guitarist just ordered a Sovtek head on reverb from Maine that came via UPS and they added additional fee's themselves on top of the duty charge. The called it "UPS Brokerage Charges"

This is exactly what I have, I use the Four 10 alone for band rehearsals, Two 10 for duo gigs or practice and the "Six 10" (Four plus Two) for most gigs, although the Four alone would be sufficient. Works a treat for me, couldn't be happier. And I have a One 10 sitting around in the lounge too.

Nothing at all.
Towards the end the wait was killing me ..

It would be cool if when you log on their website there would be some info under fulfillment status.
As in "there are still 20 cabs to be done before we get started on yours" or something .. just so you get an impression of progress.
Hell even bogus numbers would be better than nothing I suppose

I have one of their covers for my four 10. Its good quality and thick to protect your investment.

I have the Roqsolid cover for my Super Compact, and I've been very happy with it. And they're definitely less expensive than the Barefaced cover.

I also opted to have Roqsolid make covers for my two Barefaced cabs. They were nice people to deal with, the covers are nice, and less expensive than the ones Barefaced sells. Buying a cover from Barefaced when you order is the best way to get the Barefaced cover otherwise the separate shipping charge adds a lot of expense. You definitely will want a cover to protect the finish and protect the cabinet when moving it in wet weather. Enjoy your new cab!

Just spoke to Roqsolid and they can get me litter out before my tour, so that's great. I've never own a cab cover but I know the BF will be somewhat more fragile than my Trace cabs and obviously with it being winter in Scotland.... time to get the credit card out!

The covers are nice and work well and provide a reasonable level of protection from dust scratches and minor knocks. The question is would I pay £105 for one for my four 10? No, I can't justify the additional cost when a moving blanket does the same job for nothing.

I'll be playing a gig with my BT2 for the first time next week. When I used it to record in the studio, I used 2 mics, one on the woofer and one on the tweeter. For a live, 1-mic setup, I'm guessing it would be best to turn off the tweeter, so that the woofers output all the frequencies, correct?

You can change the crossover point so more of the highs go to the woofer but you can't turn it off, as far as I know there is no way to send the entire signal only to the woofer. I would use one mic and allow the FOH engineer to choose where they want to mic your cabinet. There is no hard and fast rule and IMO if you are not also sending a DI to FOH the engineer is going to have the best idea about where to put the mic so your sound sits well in the mix, hopefully that is based on listening and then moving the mic if it isn't in a good place. If you record a lot you probably already are aware that mic placement is important and sadly in a lot of cases something of a lost art. Much better sound can be realized by proper mic placement instead of relying on fixing the sound with EQ.

Yea I meant turn it at its minimum setting since it won't be mic'ed.

Also it's the first bass cab I've owned, so I'm not exactly experienced with mic placement.

I had BF covers and now have Roqsolid.

The BF ones were thicker and gave more protection, but as I don't throw my cabs down the stairs the current Roqsolid ones are just fine.

I'm the only person who carries my cabs so covers work just fine for me. If you think your cabs need protecting from daily use, then either stop being rough with them or flightcase them.
