Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

Hey all,
First post on TB, long time reader. Have learned quite a bit from TB and am forever thankful for this.
Just acquired a Super Twin and... Wow. Fn wow. Havent Had much time with it but my girlfriend left early for work the other day so had to give it a spin. My dogs didnt run out of the room when it was turned on. It really does low volumes. Like beautifully. I was blown away. Still am. So weird to be gasless. All I want to do now is play. Anyhow this isnt a review as it hasnt even been broke in, yet. Just wanted to show off because there aren't many people I know that give two cents about my bass playing. So thank you for this opportunity, TB!

I actually found mine to be constantly evolving during the "break in", - on my first gig with it I used it as backline for ourselves and the first band. My EQ from sound check was totally different by the time it came to our set! Damn it's clear as day and thunders.

Hi all! I am a long time reader but first time poster and I have to say that my Super Twin is truly astonishing in regards to what it is capable of, so much so that I want to downsize to a Super Compact because that is probably all I will ever need. I am not a professional, and I'm not even in a band at the moment. Before I buy a SC though I want to move my ST. I hope I am not breaking any rules of etiquette by posting a classified ad here, but I want to reach out to other Barefaced lovers in my area (Dallas/Fort Worth in Texas) who might not be looking at the classifieds but would consider a deal they couldn't pass up. My cab is perfect, never gigged, just played at a few practices/jams but loud enough to get it broken in a little, and I have the barefaced cover. It's as good as new, and you can save hundreds. Let me know, thanks!

trust me, post it in the classified section you'll sell it fast (probably local too). While everyone here is 'Barefaced', all 'Barefaced' might not be reading this thread ;)

Excellent advice!

Plus, there is Rule #3 in the FAQ, which reads in part:

Rule #3: Off-limit Topics & Forum-Specific Rules
[snip]All gear 'for-sale' and 'wanted' text must be limited to posts in the TalkBass Classifieds category. The Bass Guitar Classifieds are open to Supporting Members only.

Don't get yourself dinged!

Did my first gig just with my One10 tonight (took the ST just in case and just used it to stand the One10 on in the end). Small pub with about 50 people in playing country and some blues with a drummer playing his digital kit (so lower volume). It handled it OK, it was fine with the small venue and crowd. Volume adequate. Low E sounded a bit muddy at times, but i'm not sure if that was the acoustics of the room and a new bass i was using. I don't think it would have kept up if the drummer was using his acoustic kit as he is a heavy hitter...although i still had plenty of juice on my amp so i can't be 100% sure

What amp did you use?

I'm seeking the wisdom of fellow Barefaced owners.
Im going to be pushing a pair of Barefaced Two 10S cabs with a Mesa WD-800. When running both cabs, the obvious choice is to run the amp at 2ohms (both cabs set to 4ohms) correct?
What is recommended if I'm only pushing one cab? The cabs are rated to handle up to 800 watts. But I'm a little hesitant, should I set it to 12ohms instead? Thoughts?
(Going to post in the Mesa thread too, want to hear both sides)

I am pushing my One10 with 800 watt Quilter BB800 with zero problem.
