Just got my SIX10 today! Can''t wait to try this one with some volume.. How should I go about "breaking in" the speakers??

I can do that at low volume aswell right?
Like how many hours of playtime ish?
Barefaced did an awesome job with the shipping pacage. No damage! Was a bit surprised by the tolex, how it felt, but it looks cool. Im used to the Ampeg tolex.

Im also notice that I can't take off the cloth grill??
Its a shame because I have a red baffle underneath which I would love to have the option of seeing..

Looks like I have to rip the grill cloth off the super glue.

Nice! And yes the cloth grills are not meant to be taken off.

It has two silkish or nylon tabs beneath the grill cloth. Just like an Ampeg. It seem like its meant to be taken off. But I tried to pull hard, before I gave up to not rip something.
And the chrome plates in each corner seem to go over the grill alittle tiny bit.

Haha! Just read it before you posted. So yeah, looks like they should not be taken out then.
I can still see some of the red baffle through the cloth grill.

Looks a bit cooler than just all dark. I understand the vibration prevention, and rattling, but still boring that I can't even see the baffle color straight up in all its glory! Oh well, Im still not over having one of these cabs in my home!

Looks awesome.

So In the future, if I were to add a second cab like the 210 to match a 810, its just to daisy chain the two cab's 4 ohm inputs to my 200w tube head's 4 ohm output right? And the head will handle them as "one" 4 ohm cab?

By the way, CONGRATS with your Super Midget!

Yeah loving the Super Midget! Makes a great stack with my Super Compact!

But for your impedance…the answer is no you can't run two 4 ohm cabs because that will make a 2 ohm load. You will need to switch both cabs to 12 ohm and then both cabs in parallel will give you 6 ohms which is close enough to 4.

EDIT..well it looks like you can't switch the 610 to 12 ohms, it's 4 ohms only. So if you want to add a 210 you will need a 2 ohm stable amp like a Mesa Subway.

EDIT2..or you could run two more 210's. Three 210's, set to 12 ohms each, would result in a 4 ohm load. Not quite an 810, but close. Basically a modulular 610 but should easily outperform an Ampeg 810.

Ya, i'm trying to figure the best way to supply the BB3 with enough wattage when combined with my other 4ohm cabinet. I have a Tecamp Black Jag 900 head, and it has separate power amps, each with their own outputs (Channel A, Channel B), each rated for min 2ohm. Each of those outputs can put out 450W at 4ohm, but at 8ohm (BB3) it's only going to receive maybe 175W through the separate channel. Now, the head does have a bridge mode, which will do 900W, but min load for bridge mode is 4ohm, and if I combine the 8ohm BB3 with my other 4ohm cabinet, the resulting load will be about 2.8ohms… which is obviously below the 4ohm min for the bridge output.

Their site is not up to date… that one is now offered in 2 versions…. 800W, and 1000W… for some time now. Ya, they finally added the 812PL to their site which is also 1000W. Ultimately my future answer is a second BB3…. but for now.. need to supply juice to the two I will have.

I would try it with one cab on each channel. Yeah the BF won't get as much power, but I'd bet it will be nearly as loud as the other cab...or at least close enough for now.
