Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

A One10-T?

I opted for sans T. I had a pair several yrs ago.....loved them BUT they were my only cabs at the time and for ABG and some other stuff I wanted a tweeter....I should have kept 1. Now I have other cabs if I need to be loud or get some glass up top, and this is, for me, the ultimate grab 'n' go cab for small spaces/ no drums.

Barefaced did respond to my e-inquiry about the BB3 and I had no problem deciding which one to go for, the newest version. Of course I'm hoping it was the right choice! Gotta go on faith and the 30 day return policy.

In the meantime, I'll limp along with my F112. ... . I'll really be listening to see which cab I like better (completely subjective), sooner or later, a favorite will likely emerge. I have zero complaints about the cabs I have now so I'm guessing it may be a tough call.
My comparison will be from playing the BB3 on some gigs, then jump back to the F112. I could also swap between them on the gig if there's room at the venue. I hope it arrives during outdoor gig season!
These are both super-cabs, so I don't expect a night and day difference between the two but you never know... There will be no scientific data in any forthcoming reviews, just impressions from on the job experience and I'm really looking forward to it.
They will be powered by an Arkham "Beast of Both Worlds" (600W @ 8 Ohms) and I'll be using my fine Jazz Bass.

Just be sure and give your new BB3 time to break in properly. The speaker in my BB2 was a bit stiff to start with, and I imagine the new BB3 would be similar. It's really quite something when it finally opens up.

I've ordered a BB3.....and will be powering it with WD800 and Quilter BB802....while waiting I am curious to hear how others running those heads into BB2 or SC are eq'ing them. If the cab response is fairly monitor flat, I suspect I'll be bumping low mids and setting an HPF around 55 Hz. I am certain it will be enough on its' own for my needs and am looking forward to a 30lb, single box "solution" :)....and hoping a TBer fortunate enough to have recieved a spankin' new BB3 might post a pic 'r 2 ...
I use an SC and BB800 and after several months of trying to use the Quilter's two-knob EQ settings, I opted to noon them flat and use a Q/Strip as my EQ. And yes, bumping low mids on this setup gives me not only the sound in my ears, but the "feeling" in my buns ...gawd I love that feeling!

Good to hear (pun intended). The BB802 eq is much more versatile than the 800, and the fan very quiet.

Anyone received an order over the last few months? Curious how long the actual wait time was. I've got some gigs coming up and trying to plan ahead.

I ordered two of the 2x10 cabs on 28th June, just over six weeks ago, and no word on them yet. I hope to be getting them pretty soon as the web site was quoting 2-6 weeks. I haven't troubled Alex with any chasing up but would have expected a response from Barefaced if they go beyond their 6 week window.

I'd probably drop them an email enquiring about delivery.

When I ordered it was a 2 to 4 week window. After week four, I sent a message asking for some kind of status. It took about a week, but I got a response asking me to try back next week and see if they had an answer. I know they're busy and I haven't bothered trying to contact them back.

New member here, just picked up the Super Twin from a local sale here in the classifieds. Next gig isn't for a few weeks but so far just working it out here at home I can tell this is gong to be the one!

Regarding lead times, I'm going to put this link here for anyone who's waiting for a cab and didn't notice it in their order confirmation email (or if it's gone into their spam folder) or for anyone wondering about ordering a cab:

Production and delivery times

A week ago we were charging through the backlog. Right now we're down to three of us due to Covid self-isolation rules. Next week we'll be back up to full staff if no-one gets pinged. It's very annoying.

Tell me about it. I just got my Super Midget which I ordered in enough time to have for a big gig last week...which we ended up having to cancel...because *I* got Covid! So that was double rough. I'm ready for the next show though!
