I used it with David eden cabs. 112 210. Also a 15. I used it with Markbass, Mesa, Genzler and a few others. I tell ya the Bb2 is imo the beat Cab I have ever used with it. The head sounds perfect. I highly recommend it.

I have used a BT2 for years, usually with the tweeter switched off. Great versatile cab.
More recently, I wanted the fridge sound for a band. Bought a Two10 and was very disappointed with the sound. It absolutely couldn't handle outdoor gigs without the sound getting very wooly as I turned up the power.
So, I took a chance and bought another two Two10 cabs to make a 6x10. This works fine, and I feel is very close to the Ampeg sound, but with a bit more bottom and a lot more power. Using two Two10 cabs is better than one, but I would still prefer the single BT2 to that.
I feel that I have two good useable rigs, not the four options expected.

I have the Six10 cab and it really is an "ampeg destroyer". Way louder, way lighter, but a very similar vintage inspired tone. Plus it fits easily in the back seat of my Mazda.

Still not sure if I want the vintage sound all the time though. I ordered a SuperTwin back in June to compare it to. Not sure when I'll get that, but looking forward to the comparison.

Yeah, I kinda figure I'm going to need a 4X10 equivalent for small gigs and a 6X10 equivalent for the majority of gigs.
My band can get kinda loud and I don't want that wooly sound all the time either.

I do exactly this. I tend to use the Four10 by itself for practices and add the Two 10 on top to make a Six 10 for gigs. Killer rig, but I do like the sound of the Four 10 by itself when it is being pushed hard too and it tends to really reveal its baked in vintage character. I do also have a Super Midget/BB2 combo which I assume is similar to a BT2 when I turn down the tweeters, and while it really fills a room with beautiful clean lows I would run with the Six 10 ahead of it - especially for an outdoor gig. Got to say we really are spoiled for choice with Barefaced and Alex got it right when developing two clearly different driver options.

I've ordered a BB3.....and will be powering it with WD800 and Quilter BB802....while waiting I am curious to hear how others running those heads into BB2 or SC are eq'ing them. If the cab response is fairly monitor flat, I suspect I'll be bumping low mids and setting an HPF around 55 Hz. I am certain it will be enough on its' own for my needs and am looking forward to a 30lb, single box "solution" :)....and hoping a TBer fortunate enough to have recieved a spankin' new BB3 might post a pic 'r 2 ...

Oooooo... looking forward to seeing pics and hearing your impressions of it. I don't expect to spend the money to replace my pair of Big Baby 2's any time soon, but I'm more than happy to live vicariously through you and others who take the plunge. :D

...yes but....placement of a recessed bar handle (or 2?) will slightly change box volume and tuning unless the box is also rethought, and might also affect bracing. My guess is they'll all be reworked eventually, from top to bottom.

I don't have a WD800 but I have a D800+ and I EQ my amp similarly to what you describe, based in part on posts by Mesa's agedhorse. I set the variable HPF at around 60-ish, boost the bass a little, and set the low mids frequency at about 9:00 and with a slight boost. That gives me great low end without much boom. Not that the BB2 can't deliver lots deep, full low end at volume if you want it to, because it definitely can do that.
