This is a good idea to keep the T-nuts from being pushed out. I stopped using T-nuts in favor of these barbed body insert nuts which provide a much more secure grip in the wood and are less likely to come out.

I've built several cabs over several decades. Globbing some wood glue on the barbs helps keep the T nuts in place for subsequent speaker changes, should the wood dry out over the years and the T nuts lose their grip. Perhaps, these days, something more modern and flexible like silicone caulking or construction adhesive would be even better.

Those look like they are made for MDF. I would never make a baffle out of MDF. They don't look as grabby as a T nut to me.

Had my first gig with the Super Twin and the Mesa. Heavenly. Warm, round, punchy, focused, deep.. I couldn't ask for anything more. The only problem I had was the amp creeped forward off the front of the cabinet! Any suggestions for how to remedy this?

Foam rubber - mouse pad, a piece of yoga mat, even shelf liner. Works for me.

Those look like they are made for MDF. I would never make a baffle out of MDF. They don't look as grabby as a T nut to me.

They are not limited to MDF. I use them in 3/4" birch plywood baffles and in my experience have a much better grab than T nuts because the multiple barbs are jammed into the side walls of the mounting hole. I've also used glue and small screws to secure T nuts but these have been so much more convenient. Just drill a small mounting hole to insure a tight fit and tap them in flush.

Hi guys, I'm buying a One10 soon and plan to buy a 210s later on. Current cab is a Baer ML112. I'm going to replace my Aguilar TH500 with a TH700 or AG700 which are both capable of 2.67 ohms. Does anyone do the Barefaced 310 stack? Pros? Cons?
I like a vintage/old school bass tone and I think between these 2 cabs I'd have 3 different configurations that would suit anything I'd like to do. I play a variety of music styles at home, but mostly rock when I'm gigging, and nearly always gig with p.a. support.

I have a One10 and Two10s. Knowing the limits of the Two10s and One10 I've only used the 310 setup once. All other times I used the Two10s by itself. Adding the One10 helps with some volume but I'd say it mostly helps with on stage monitoring being stacked vertically bringing it closer to ear level. I've toyed around with getting a second Two10s but with the pandemic I haven't gone there since I'd have to unload other cabs to make it happen. Now if Alex makes a Two10s with a tweeter I may make the effort in offloading those said cabs. Not that it's needed but having the option of the little top end sparkle would be hard to resist.

I believe Alex had mentioned you can request any cab with a tweeter. Best to contact them about it.

Any one using a Mesa Walkabout, older 300 watt version, with a BF 210 cab?
Seems like it would be a good match.

It is a great match....I used to run a Walkabout into a pair of One10s......but it'd have been 6X better with a 3rd One10 in a band context!

However, I wasn't in the PA, and noticed my clip light flashing more than usual despite my adjustment to keep the gain settings low. I know if I had brought my GK MBF800 this wouldn't have occurred. But now I'm considering a different head from the AG700. My question is when will Barefaced have its own amp?

When I ordered in August they were both available for the same price. I guess the BB2 will eventually be discontinued.

As I understand it, the clip light on the AG700 doesn't indicate anything bad is happening. It might be worth emailing Aguilar to get the full info.

I use an AG700 into an SM and BB2 and I've never been loud enough to set the clip light flashing, and that's my stupidly loud blues rock band rig!! What were you doing to the guests?

Clip Light:
When the Clip light turns red it indicates that the preamp is being driven
into clipping. Input pad, Gain, and Tone Controls, including the output
level of your bass, affect how often the light will go off. Clipping the AG
700 will not cause any shutdowns or damage to your amplifier.

I use a Bergantino Forte HP into my SM/BB2 combo. 1200 watts into 4 ohms and absolutely magnificent control and tone.
