I'm with you on that! But my main concern is losing out on the tweeter in the BB2
FWIW I don’t feel like I’m missing anything not having the tweeter which my previous cab had. The ST can be fairly bright. Turn off the horn on the BB2 and see how you feel… and if you like that, just imagine it twice as loud and fuller.
@ReeV0 Why don't you contact Alex Claber? He's always been happy to discuss and make recommendations to the folks interested in his cabs. I doubt he'd steer you wrong.

I had a Musicman 212 reflex cab, about 90lbs and a Peavey BW 115 which weighed about 70lbs. Both had one strap handle!! Total design failure!
A Barefaced cab isn't heavy enough to have handle issues. No they don't dig in. In 5 years I've had no issues with the handles.
After a few weeks of cab research I pulled the trigger on a Two10S last night. There's a lot of helpful info here and on the BF site that made the decision pretty easy, even after considering some of the US based alternatives. I'm definitely more a vintagey 'flats on a P-Bass' kind of guy which is why I went with 10s over 12s. The switchable impedance is a super-cool feature as well, since I anticipate this being the only cab I need 99% of the time but flexibility is always nice. Looking forward to getting it!
Congrats! I have one of each coming. A One10T for my small rig needs (which will more than likely be more "old school" type music) and a BB3 for my rock band gigs.

Hi all. I'd appreciate the benefit of your knowledge in helping me select an affordable, lightweight amp to drive the BBIII I'm about to order.
I play 5-string active basses (BEADG), generally in pursuit of a more modern/brighter tone palette. From watching Alex's videos, the BBIII seems like the right choice of cabinet to help me get a fuller sound from my low B-string, as well as the general sparkle of a tweeter.
But which (affordable) amp to purchase...?
Realistically I will only ever be playing medium sized pub style venues. Or maybe small crowds outdoors. The BBIII does up to 800W at 8ohms, which I imagine is loud when driven by an adequate amp. I always like to have too much sound pressure rather than not enough, though there's probably no point in me spending a ton of money on a huge wattage amp if the dial will never move past 2.
I'm attracted to the TC Electronic BQ500 Thrust, which does 500W at 4Ohms. But that's only 250W at 8 Ohms. The Behringer Ultrabass BXD3000H Bass Amp Head offers good bang for buck, but only 300W @ 4Ohms, translating to 150W at 8Ohms.
Are there any other amps I should be thinking about at the "affordable" end of the spectrum? Thanks in anticipation of your advice.

I would recommand the Quilter Bass Block 800 or 802. Amazing power, super straightforward, sounds great "neutral but not sterile".
If it's too expensive, the [This invalid link has been removed] is a low cost alternative. I haven't tried it, but they have a great quality reputation (and affordability, of course), and the customers reviews look great.
The Fender Rumble 800 HD delivers 400W (RMS) into 8 Ohms. Relatively speaking, it's "affordable" at $749 (list price, new, with gig bag).
Very cool feature: it supports impedance loads all the way down to 2 Ohms, which would be useful if you ever want to add three more BBIIIs to your rig! (Or add a single BTIII, and combine for 2.67 Ohms.).

TC Bam. Tiny, powerful, and cheap. What's not to like?! I love the sound of my bass guitars through it into my BB2 or Super Midget, or both. My upright bass not so much.
Got my Two10S last week. Beautiful little cab, very loud, sounds like a much bigger box lol.
I was a little surprised on how dark it is compared to my SVT212av with the tweeter rolled off, but I’m in no way disappointed with the tone.

mine was ordered sept 15, came before the 7 weeks. I was surprised when I got the shipping notification.
Oh cool, much appreciated. I know they are a bit behind on the 12’s. I have a super twin and a single 12” version of the super twin that I ordered the first week of September. I’m starting to get antsy LOL.
