^ ill add that i like the 12s better for me, and i don't care for fizzy pedals. my favorite dirt is the pork loin (the big one) that many consider too dark. i also dont have any HF drivers in my cabs.

It's probably not ideal, as I'll inevitably take a small loss on the cab I end up selling. But, for someone like myself who overthinks everything, having the unknown data will put my mind at ease.
On the topic of 10's vs 12's…I use a Tone Hammer DI for low gain OD and a Tech21 SH-1 for higher gain/pushed sounds with a Super Twin. I haven't compared with 10's, but the ST sounds great on stage. I agree with the comments about the 12's sounding more and more full as you turn up. The sound fills space rather than punching. My taste in higher gain sounds leans towards fuzz, rather than buzzsaw, cutting distortion and I think the 12's do that really well. I've had comments from other bass players that my high gain sound feels like a push coming off the speakers. Just my poor attempt to describe the very subjective and personal perception of cranking up a BF cab with a band!
I haven't looked at the used market very much, but that might be a way to recoup your investment.
Also in the Bay Area, I got a BB3 a couple weeks back and was pleasantly surprised--shocked, almost--at how fast DHL was able to get it here. Mine was a day early too (I think 4 days total). From my limited experience, I'd have no worries at all about the shipping side of things if I wanted to order from Barefaced again. (I'd only worry about scraping together the $$.)A day earlythe DHL crew has it going on! 4 days from Brighton to the SF Bay Area. Not a scratch on her and shakes the house very nicely. Time to break the driver in and start the tone journey.
Where are you in the Bay Area and what music are you playing? I have an Allman Brothers tribute band, Idlewild West. I'm using a One10 and One10T.

I'm on Los Gatos. Been in the roots and blues scene for years and just changed out my entire rig. Hope to have many years with the Mesa + Barefaced rig! I trying to get a rig photo up, but talkbass is not cooperating with my files for some reason... been no issues for years.

That happens to me sometimes too. For future reference, if it happens again, edit your post, and choose More Options. You might have to delete the attachment and add the image again. Then click Preview. If you like what you see, save your changes, and it should stick.

I'm in West Contra Costa County, mostly playing Brazilian jazz these days. I've been alternating between Acme Low B-1s and MAS 18.5, but hoping to take the BB3 out for a spin soon.
Had a gig at the Civic Center in Mobile, AL for their Mardi Gras. Used mostly in ears for the gigs but during the sound check I kicked up the stage volume. It was outstanding. I'll probably never need that much volume or use that much, but... I have it on tap...measured in tons. It was mostly a classic rock hit so I used the Berg HP2 with my 2 spectors. One is a Euro DW and the other is a modified Bantam. Both with USA HAZLab pres. If I can get some stage cam footage where you can hear the rig, it sounds quality, and I don't suck, I'll post.
Hooked up the new rig to my audio interface to get the break in process going today with some Deadmau5 and other bass heavy tunes…. and after a few hours I started rolling the gain up… and up… then my ears started to hurt and this little big baby 3 would not quit, it had more easy

I ran Mike's cabs for years. A MA109 and a Bodai 28, great sound, especially on upright. But the Barefaced stuff really impressed, and I'm looking forward to some live band time with it also.
