Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

So, has anyone ordered a 4ohm three 10 yet?...im waiting for someone to post pics/review. Im saving up for a 8ohm 210st with a custom option that Alex has pretty much assured me that no one has ever asked for, but im holding off for a 310 review just in case. Anybody?

waiting on a review as well, but if I got rid of some gear, I'd blindly buy one. I think it's going to be a home run. So what's the custom option you discussed?

I hope it's disco lights or a carved….bear face
I actually asked Alex about putting LEDs in behind the screens on cabs with painted front faces. I could see his eyes roll from the other side of the ocean. What he said in print was that the cabs are already complicated enough, they won't be adding any LEDs.

Disco Lights?... hmmm, strangely one of the covers i play is "Upside Down" by Diana Ross, not that im a fan, but its a groovy motown-ish bassline for which disco-lights would be entirely appropriate..LED's are easy enough. Ampeg BA210. As far as the BF 210st custom, yall will just have to wait, as will I.

Also regarding the 310, Alex said they would be more than happy to make one without the tilt-back wheels and top handle (making it just a normal rectangular cab), or they could make one with a 4 casters mod. I guess we will have to wait until somebody pulls the trigger and gets one and tells us all about it.

their cabs are so light, I don't think 4 casters are needed. Maybe 410 and up? My friend saw me wheeling my SuperTwin and thought it was empty luggage because it sounded so empty being pulled on wheels.

As a side note, I wanted to thank everyone in this forum for being so polite and responding to my posts and questions. I would like to think im not a poser (poseur?, french?) and that i actually am a competent bassist. I dont have the $ to buy gear for bragging rights and for likes on my new botique stuff. i actually have been looking at barefaced for years and it seems to be as good or better than anything retail. I do my research, i have watched all of BF videos about the product whether 10cr or 12xn. The only other forum i have found that is equal is the Mesa forum (I am going to pair a bf cab with a mesa d800+) Anyway, thanks yall!

this is a pretty helpful group that I watched before I owned my SuperTwin . And it's great that Alex from Barefaced pops in here when he has a suggestion or correction of knowledge for us. That's very valuable in my eyes.

While there is certainly bragging rights involved with owning good gear, I don't think that's why any of us spent the money to get it. I did the same thing you're doing now -- reading, watching, listening, observing, thinking. I came to the conclusion that I would spend the money on the advanced engineering and design of the cabs, and trusted that they would sound good. I was not disappointed in the least.

(Except for not getting LEDs behind the screen.)

I have to say, over the past 3 years of owning and gigging a super midget (sometimes gigging berg cabs), I only seem to get compliments on my tone when barefaced is on the stage. That is all, continue on.

Last week I was rather pleased when the drummer turned around after the first number and said, "That sounds good."

I was using a TH500, Barefaced SC and SM and my Sadowsky Jazz.

I bit the bullet.

EIGHT10 ordered! The wait begins.

I wanted the Eight10 originally, but went with the Six10. I LOVE the Six10 in every way. So much so I recently ordered and received my little Two10. And that cab is unbelievable for it's size.

Even if the Eight10 never leaves the house, I'll be satisfied! And, I'll have a cab for every occasion.
Alex tried to talk me out of it, but I'm stubborn. :D

I always had thoughts of the Super Twin, but the 10's have just the tone I'm after. I'm good.

Looking forward to my Reeves Custom 225 siting on the mighty Eight10!

Well, on the complete other end of the spectrum from markT and his whopping 16 total 10" drivers! — I have a single One10 that's been perfect for practicing at home, rehearsing with my acoustic group (no drums) and as a monitor w/PA support at small shows, but I want to add either another One10 or a Two10 for a different project that would require a little more volume and possibly gigs w/no FOH support.

Any suggestions on which way to go? Thinking the Two10 would give me three distinct options and I'd be set for pretty much anything I'd ever do. But would just another One10 do it?

I'm also considering a Genzler MG350. Thoughts on that head w/a mini BF stack?
