BB3 number two incoming! No communication, but I got an email from FedEx saying they have a shipment from BareFaced. I'm guessing it's packed up but hasn't actually been shipped yet, as there's no expected arrival date.

Might be just as well. We got about 4" of snow yesterday. Also, my foot recently had surgery, and my ability to move about is limited to a knee cart or crutches. Thankfully, the package requires a signature, so (hopefully) they won't just leave the box on my driveway. As long as I can get it inside, I can get one of my neighbors to help me unpack it and stash it.

Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, when did you place your order? I placed an order on 1/6, just trying to get a feel for how many more weeks beyond the estimated 2-4 (more) I'm looking at.

I placed an order on 12/15 (One10) and still have heard nothing. End of week 8.

I put my initial deposit on it on October 16, and paid it off on November 7.

Had a rare opportunity to take my OG Compact & Super Third to a gig last night. It's always a pleasure to play through them together, and hearing 3 other bands bassists sound as clear and deep as I ever have in that room. All of them, and the sound tech, commented to me on the cab quality in different areas which says it all, really.

Throw in them both being on hand carries, and the Compact being at least 12 years old at this point - probably more - they have to be up there with the best money I've spent on my rig.

in 2019 my band was gigging often that very tiny bar...nice place to welcome our usual crowd (10~20ppl) but the provided bass combo was just terrible.

So I decided to invest in a mini and portable stack I could take with me in the subway and have a great backline...BF was running a sale and i got a one10 and a month later a Super Midget...I gigged the one10...it was ok but I had to push it a little bit...

..then covid came...never had a chance to take the Super Midget out and we stopped playing that bar for a venue already equipped

My Super Midget with the GK Legacy 500 have been sitting under my desk as a glorious DI and bedroom rehearsal function..What a waste!

And finally last friday we gave a shot again to that small bar and I jump on the opportunity to get the BF to gig situation!

Super happy with the result, it's basically one of the best backline I've ever used, clean and powerful, the GK sound that I like, not a sweat to support the band (drummer + 2 guitarists)

And yes I did carried the stuff in public transportation...it was okayish though the return trip with close to 20mns walking and 2 trains at midnight after 3 hours a gig was not the highilght of the evening (will try with a trolley next time)

MTD AG5 (535-24) the whole gear coordination was pretty nice (still prefer 34 inch scale but that one sound and play incredible)

Thanks! It definitely passed the rehearsal test today.

The sound of a P bass into a rusty box hammering the font end of a cranked 800RB feeding an Ampeg 8x10 is burned into my memory , this little rig is missing some of weight (tonally and literally) but it nails the vibe. Very satisfied.

Had band practice yesterday with my TC BH250 amp running at 8 ohms into the BB3. Absolutely remarkable performance and volume with one half of the available 250 watts

My new BB3 arrives today. I had a little scare with FedEx -- I got word from them that they needed an additional document for Customs, and if I didn't get it to them in 7 days, they'd send the package back. But the documents they sent me made no sense. I finally contacted BareFaced, and they helped get it sorted out. Apparently, US Customs now requires a statement from the shipper saying that the package contains no chemicals -- or if it contains chemicals, which ones. They also require a statement from the purchaser saying that the shipment is authorized. It has to include my name, address, and contact information, in spite of the fact that all that information is included on the invoice. It struck me as mind-bogglingly useless and stupid. But Isaac at BareFaced helped me get that sorted, and so now the package is on its way.

The problem now is that I can't walk, and I can't pick up anything heavy. I had surgery on my foot a few weeks ago. So now I'm hoping the FedEx delivery guy will be willing to bring the package into my house.
