My new BB3 arrives today. I had a little scare with FedEx -- I got word from them that they needed an additional document for Customs, and if I didn't get it to them in 7 days, they'd send the package back. But the documents they sent me made no sense. I finally contacted BareFaced, and they helped get it sorted out. Apparently, US Customs now requires a statement from the shipper saying that the package contains no chemicals -- or if it contains chemicals, which ones. They also require a statement from the purchaser saying that the shipment is authorized. It has to include my name, address, and contact information, in spite of the fact that all that information is included on the invoice. It struck me as mind-bogglingly useless and stupid. But Isaac at BareFaced helped me get that sorted, and so now the package is on its way.

The problem now is that I can't walk, and I can't pick up anything heavy. I had surgery on my foot a few weeks ago. So now I'm hoping the FedEx delivery guy will be willing to bring the package into my house.

Update: The FedEx delivery driver was very nice, and brought the package in my house and set it in a convenient place where it will remain unmolested for probably a couple of weeks. Unless I can't stand waiting, and I can get one of my neighbor yuts to open it for me.

I currently have a Super Compact T and love it, I'm considering adding a second cab so that I can keep one at home and one at the rehearsal space and then using both as a modular rig for louder gigs. Trying to decide between the Super Mini T or another Super Compact. I like the idea of having the smaller SM for at home (or when I want an even smaller rig) but would be totally fine with adding a second SC. Any opinions on the sound of SM/SC stack vs a SC/SC (or Super Twin)? Also, does someone mind posting a pic of a SM/SC stack and also a SC/SC stack :) Many thanks!

I would do the ext. SC if I were you, just for the kick in the gut of it when using both.

Tweeter question....
I'm about to pull the trigger on a 310, was curious if anyone had an opinion on whether I really need a tweeter or not. I'm leaning not, as I don't really do any slapping, crazy soloing, or "high treble" playing. Mainly classic rock, and metal, even some death metal. I'll be powering it with a Jule Simone w/ the 500w power amp. I've been going back and forth thinking, "well, maybe I should just get it, to have it, in case." But I don't really know ow I need it.

* Forgot to add. I will probably eventually get the 110 to throw on top, I could always get the 110 with tweeter. ?

Not sure whether putting the one 10 on top of a three 10 is a good idea, as although the three is 4 ohms and the one is 8 ohms, I think the single driver in the one 10 will still be receiving more power than.each of the individual drivers in the three 10. I am happy to be corrected on this.

If they use custom 12-ohm drivers for the 310, you may be able to get them to build you a custom 1x10 using the same (12-ohm?) driver. However, the 1x10 on its own would not be as loud as an 8-ohm 1x10.

It works. Alex is already building them. I wider 110 to fit on top of the 310. He spoke of it a while ago...but they are building them. I believe someone on this thread has one, and uses it exactly as I described...

"Need more output? You can use two of these or... well, we don't have anything else yet. But we could totally make a One10 with a 10CRA driver (12 ohm nominal impedance) that you could stack on this Three10 and have a rig that can still be considered a 4 ohm nominal load (trust us on this - impedance is an odd and complex thing and the glorious thing about 10CR or 10CRA drivers in Hybrid Resonator enclosures is that they have much smaller swings in impedance magnitude and phase than most drivers in most cabs)."

Ordered my 310, no tweet, purple baffle, w/cover. 😎. Very exciting!!!

That should be a nice cab. I ordered my Super Twin with tweeter because it makes an audible difference in the treble extension, but with a response rolling off at 6k instead of 4k, I didn't think the tweeter made much difference in the 310 cab.

Yes, I agree. I had a 110 with no tweeter and it sounded amazing as is. Honestly, using a Demeter tube amp, it was one of the best bass sounds I have ever heard.
