The price of the built in amp is about $550. Seems pretty steep for the convenience.

Since I own two powered MAS Cabinets (a 1/8 three way and a 4x5.5) with 500 watt IcE modules I don't think a 200 watt @4 ohm bass cabinet
would even meet my meager needs playing small clubs or medium concert halls and churches, with a DB or my Lakland 55-94's. Just my take
but there it is. $1,442.00 is a pretty large chunk of change.

Yeah, I'm focused on finding a One10 passive and simply powering it with my Shuttle 3.0 (150/300watts @ 8/4 ohm). With a Noble preamp on the front end, I'm guessing that will be adequate to squeeze some juice out of the One10.

Alex claims the amp is stout enough to drive the 10CR right up to the point it starts to have some breakup.

No plug in yet. The grill is oxblood, darker than I expected, but it alright.

I also have a custom One10 with the same oxblood grill, and I agree it's much darker than expected but alright.

Hi there, Is there any chance someone in the TB Barefaced Bass Cab Club has a Big Twin 3 they are looking to sell? I'm located in Denver, CO and will pay shipping cost or I can certainly drive quite a ways to meet somewhere if mailing is not an option. My band is gonna be doing some traveling this summer and a BT3 would be great to take out with us..

The Genzler Magellan 350 is a micro head with a built in HPF that I think is 30 hz. The EQ isn't parametric, but it might be worth checking out.

I'm using it with a Phil Jones C2 cabinet right now, and will hopefully be able to tell you how it sounds with a One10 in 4 - 10 weeks.

The precursor Shuttle 3 and 6 models have a fixed HPF at ~30Hz and a sweep mid eq.

Quick comparo of power sections of D400 (175/350 rated) and the A2 module with pre- out from D400. No meters or anything yet, but I have 0 worries about carrying gigs I would normally use the pj amp and a single One10. There might be a little more 60hz going on with the A2 in singles modes vs The D400, but this amp is famously dead silent. Connecting lil greenie there in the A2 extension out, and goodnight! It roars. Next gig is outdoors (Davis Farmers Market Jul 2) now I have to determine if I bring Two10 along as well for s&g's.

Can you throw a meter on to provide a more accurate assessment? If you have an iPhone, there is a free app called Decibel X. Probably similar apps on Android. Thanks.

An all-out test will need to be conducted somewhere other than my 2nd story condo. Its too bad, for this purpose that the line-out is post master, that would have made this a bit easier.

So, if Alex determined that the Activier @8Ω was only 1db shy of a Tonehammer (500) @8Ω (250w) then would it be fair to say it's closer to 200w @8Ω, practically compared to other standalone amps?

My guess was correct. Running the Noble into the Shuttle 3.0's effects return produces expected volume with the One10. Running the Noble into the Shuttle 3.0's preamp packs a big punch--surprisingly so for such a small cab. Layering the two preamps produces a slightly creamier tone, but does not noticeably color it since both the Noble and Shuttle 3.0 are very clean preamps. Nice having the bonus of semi-parametric EQ, especially to reduce various frequencies as needed (the Noble only provides boost on bass and treble). Couldn't be happier with this combo, especially with the tiny size and featherweight load. I predict jaws will be dropping when other musicians hear the results.

What are the pros and cons of positioning the One10 in horizontal vs vertical position? In horizontal, the port is to the side. In vertical, the port is underneath facing the floor. What is to know about both options?

Alex had put out a video documenting the difference between the One10 with the port exposed and covered. From what I remember there was a remarkable difference between the two.
