This new video is interesting for 2 reasons:
- The comparison between the Markbass 15 inch combo and the One10 Activier is hilarious
- New active bass cabs - louder models - are coming
With 2x12's and a thumpinator this thing gets mean.
In addition to the incredible sound of the LB, I love how it looks on top of the Barefaced cabs. Some amp heads look skewompus up there but these seem to have been made for each other.

I recently placed an order for a One10 Activier. For one setup where I'm doing all of my tweaking on a preamp pedal, I found myself not ever touching the amp knobs, so I'm going to try for the simpler setup of going from the pedalboard to the One10 Activier.

I think I'll wait for the Super Twin to be Activiered. In my mind would be the perfect active cab for a spanky tube pre on top and a thumpy P bass.
I've been using two BB2 cabs for a couple of years. I recently got a Two Ten and used it at an outdoor gig the other day. I was pleasantly surprised with both the volume and tone.
Can you elaborate on the tonal differences between the 12s and the 10s?
I too have both cabs. Ime the Two 10 has more punch in the mids and sounds a little more focused. The bb2 is more even across the tonal range and seems to fill the room in a less directional way, like a wash.

This is exactly how I would describe my Super Compact. Our lead guitarist loves how he can feel my bass despite being on the opposite side of the stage.
Sounds like I would definitely enjoy a 12er. This question has probably come up before, but how do the BB3 and Super Twin compare? I know Barefaced themselves say the Big cabs go deeper, but I can't imagine a 2x12 not going deep enough for me. Any observations?
@Mayo Fan The two cabs that come out on gigs with me are a SuperTwin and AK Thunderchild 112. The AK cab is similar design to the BB2/3. I'm addicted to the room-filling fullness of the SuperTwin and prefer it for full band stuff. The AK comes out on acoustic gigs and living room or coffee house gigs where the full range subtleties really shine. The AK showcases more details. The SuperTwin moves a lot of air and is plenty articulate in a loud mix.
The biggest difference I noticed was in the lows. The BB2 has big beautiful clean lows, and more of a hifi kind of sound. The Two Ten has tighter lows, and tighter sound all around. That was my experience. They are both very nice sounding cabs.
So I'm curious if any of you Barefacers have experience with a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], also called a Flightcase? Specifically, I am curious how well the BG-150 can compete volume/girth-wise against a Barefaced One10T Active? The BG-150 has four 5-inch speakers, two of which are up-firing so it's very easy to hear yourself, ditto the drummer in a not loud band setting. It's 150 watts and sounds uber clean; it gives you whatever you give it. I put a Noble tube preamp in front of it to really beef up the sound. I love the portability but it's 24 pounds.... Curious about feedback by folks who've played both of these. Thanks!

I have some pj experience, but not of that specific combo. I have a pair of C2 cabs I would run with a D400, and a while ago I had a version of the bass cub. I have an A2 One10 on its way ti me now, but ive been running my passive One10 w the same D400 for a while now as my primary rig.
While the pj speaks are impressive for what they are, and they sound great to my ears, the bf One10 will be noticeably, if not significantly louder than the Flightcase.

No plug in yet. The grill is oxblood, darker than I expected, but it alright.
I enjoyed this video. The commentary from Alex was interesting, as usual. For an old-school rock, 4-string FSO + pick sound, I agree that the 10cr's are an excellent choice. The video also reinforced my preference for the Super Twin. Give me that detail (even with a pick) and depth, please.
