Don't point it at anything breakable.
I have been rehearsing on my own with the BB2 and I really am loving this cab. The more I play through it the more my ears adjust to the tone. Getting some nice full bottom and nice mids. Nice volume out of a small cab.
However there is some softness with highs. Can't seem to get them to cut through much. For instance i play mostly finger style, but I have a few tunes where I need to pull or slap and the sound is a bit muffled. I am using round wound SS strings.
But I am still breaking the cab in, so we'll see if I get more clarity as it open up. And yes I tried adjusting the horn in various positions and tried several different EQ's on my Mesa D800. So hopefully things will clear up on the higher end once it breaks in a little more.

Hm, seems like "break-in" usually applies more to lows than highs.
Now, you do know that, quite counter-intuitively, on the BB2, when the tweeter dial is turned all the way COUNTER-CLOCKWISE is when the tweeter is full on, right? And full clockwise is full OFF? Every other cab I've ever used, it was the opposite.
You prolly know this, but just sayin'. That fooled me on the first gig I played with mine. I thought I had it turned mostly on, when in fact I's set it for mostly off.
If one thing sounds too quiet, try turning down other things. Not enough treble, bring down the bass and mids a notch, turn up master to compensate if necessary. Everything louder than everything else only worked for Lemmy.
...I will say the highs aren't razor blades, like other tweeters can be. Smooth and polite performance.
There is certainly plenty highs for slapping with an mb800 through a bb2, I have the tweeter dialled back just a small amount and treble on amp at 10 o'clock.
Yes I read that on the Barefaced website. I tried it at varying settings from low to high. Per Barefaced the highs and lows open up as the cab breaks in.
Yes that is the best way to describe. I guess I was used to to highs when slapping coming through as piercing.
I saw posts from people that have the GK heads that they tend to have sharper highs. The Mesa D800 is a little darker in the highs.

The treble output from the HF driver doesn't change at all between brand new and fully broken in, it's only the woofer whose tone changes.
If the BB2, BT2 or SM don't sound bright enough then it means you're using a head which has too dark a colouration for your needs (and will thus also sound too dark when DI'd through a PA system or when recording).

Thanks Alex. I'll experiment a little more with some EQ points. Overall the BB2 is awesome.
OK guys, thinking about purchasing either a Super Twin or a GK Neo410? The Neo410 is a lot cheeper. Anyone got any experience of the 2?
After Friday night (hopefully), I'll be able to compare the SuperTwin with the GK Neo 212-II and/or the MBE410. The MBE410 uses the same drivers as the Neo410, but in a sealed (non-ported) lighter weight cab.
I had the gk, now I have a BigTwin2. There is no comparison. The BigTwin is like a studio monitor, it gives what I put into it.. Awesome.
BigTwin is louder to me.. It's the loudest cab I've ever played through..
Pulled the trigger on a BB2 and a SM. Really looking forward to how they sound individually and collectively as compared to my CN212, and am looking forward to having a modular solution again.
