Official Carl Thompson basses club thread

I figured that this would be a good way to bring Carl Thompson bass fans and owners together, and to also serve as a central information point and discussion page.

One item of business:

With the new format of the Carl Thompson basses website (ctbasses.com) I am trying to gather as much information and photos of Carl's work as possible. The instruments are now categorized by type and serial number, and I estimate I have around 70% cataloged, and of those about 70% have known serial numbers (i.e. lots of instruments on the site where only the year or decade is known but not the serial).

Please help me fill in the blanks.

If you have an instrument that is not listed, or you know of one, please drop me a line through the contact page or e-mail me (aaron @ ctbasses.com). I am trying to get them up as fast as Carl gets them out the door, but there is still a lot of 'history' missing.

My 5 semifrills 36 scale. Only 7.8lbs! Honduran mahogany neck and body. Macassar ebony fingerboard. Love the neck and carved scroll. B is like a piano. Clear woody tone with nice growl. Just sits perfect in any mix with just the right presence.
