Now that I had this '98 BB75 over a few years now I been loving it. It can with the Bartolini pickup and I recently change the pre-amp to the Bart's too. This is a serious playing machine, deep tone and the neck fit like a clove.

I just found out that my new fretless is on page 50 of the new Carvin catalog.
Need to replace this Carvin pre-amp with something else, this really not sounding good at all.Just can't get no good tone out of it. Replace strings with some Dr. High Beams and still sound tinny. I'm really surprise

I'm thinking you probably don't like the soapbar pickups, and I would think of changing them out rather than the preamp.
