my LTD D6 plays really well. i appreciate its low action fret clang for the kind of metal i do, although it does far more than metal aside... i recommend the D6

can i get a ":woot:", and a number?

Here's my new LTD B-205SMFL. First 5 string fretless and my first LTD! I've been sort-of forcing myself to lay off til I get some RS 77 flats on there but from what I can tell so far it's very good. Spalting effect isn't as crazy as I hoped but that's only a minor point, and the subtle tigerstripe/flame effect is very fetching too. Upgraded from a Hohner passive Jazz copy. I do prefer the look of an unlined board but I can live with the lines on this too. I love the neck! Body feels very nice too. I'm usually a Soundgear guy but I must say I'm quite impressed with this. I'll take a number!

Very nice! I considered getting the B-205 but wanted a darker wood color at the time so I got the D-5. After seeing yours I wish I had gotten a B-205 Spalting also. Beautiful!

After years of being impressed by ESP/LTD quality, but turned off by narrow necks and pointy/modern shapes, I've joined in! I'm now the happy owner of an LTD 214 Vintage Fretless.
NBD thread, more pics and initial review HERE.

Very impressed. It's probably my cheapest bass, and will probably get some new pups at sometime, but I think it may be a keeper.

I do not own a fretless model but the LTD D-5 and B-5 I own are nice. Also for those who own an LTD bass with a preamp that runs on one 9vdc battery, after noticing the Peavey Millinium has the very same G&B preamp running on 18 vdc (2 batteries) I tried running 2 ESP LTD preamps on 18vdc and they do absolutely fine, run cool as before and more headroom which I like. Rather than modify the basses for two batteries I run them off an external 18vdc supply and a Mogami Stereo cable I built.

I did eventually drop some Geezer Butler signature pups in it....and I wouldn't let it go for twice the price I paid!! keeper for sure

I was never much of a 5 string lover because of the wide necks until I got the LTD D-5 and B-5. They are narrower, smoother and easier to play than other 5's. Narrow in just the right way...not too narrow where they cramp your fingers but don't feel like you are playing a baseball bat either. My only 4 string is a Fender MIM FSR Jazz bass natural finish ash with tort guard. Very light weight at 7.8lbs. Must be swamp ash or something. I obtained a 90's Peavey Millennium AC BXP 5 string that has a little wider neck but still pretty comfortable. I strung it with TI Jazz Flats and love the Vintage style tone I am getting (surprised me...strings made the difference). The ESP's have rounds on them. The B-5 is in my Avatar. I put Lace Alumitones and a Bartolini Preamp in it. Along with the single coil and dual coil combinations I can switch either in series/parallel and have a Passive/Active pickup true bypass with passive tone control. It is a sweet bass to play even with my small hands. The neck feels as good as the Fender American Special Jazz Bass 4 string I wish I still had.
