Do you know what part of FL? I worked in small music store in Sebring FL and we sold Fernandez in the 90's to early 2000s. Just curious if I may have sold that one.

4 knob config (vol / blend / bass / treble)? Active pick-ups? Do you have the pots? I have an older Fernandes TC-9500 pulled from an APB5 if you want it. It's fully intact with pots and the cut leads (3) are labeled. This is compatible w/ active pickups only AFAIK.

Thanks, The pickup and electronics has been replaced with a Lundgren Vintage P. Sounds killer but the old knobs are a different fit. I'm not minding these but may put some old chromes on that I have laying around.
Hi Guys, I am new here, I hope to find some help from you. I have a Fernandez FRB-80 bass from 1989. It belongs to a friend who asked me for help to rewire it. He lend the bass to another guy who literally made a mess with it trying to repair some malfunction.
After many hours of research and work i was able to rewire it as it supouse to be (wires from preamp, grounds, pickups and battery), checked continuity on pots and wires, and integrity of them, solder joints and jack. But I can not still make it sound.
Inspecting the preamp board (F.G.I. Technologies TC-9500), it seems some element is missing, but my knowledge of electronics does not get so far, to deduce or identify if i am rigth and what is missing there.
Can anyone confirm me preamp color wires and give some guide about the board? I am posting a picture of the board.
RED -> Battery
RED, ORANGE, YELLOW -> Bass
PURPLE, GREEN, BLUE -> Treble
GRAY -> Lead to jack
WHITE -> Lead to Volume
BLACK -> GROUND
Changing the Preamp is not an option as long as the bass has a lot of sentimental an historic value for my friend. He record and perform with it his first album with his iconic rock band here in México, so he wants to preserve all as original as posible.

I have an Atlas bass that popped up local for a good price. I was trying to do some research and cannot figure out how to determine its country of origin. Any info on these basses or how to differentiate them would be appreciated!

Bolt on maple neck. Red with black pickguard and it looks to have a sticker on the back of the headstock

Do you have any pictures of the bridge? Mine is cast, and has heavy duty saddles. I think the newer ones have a bent thin plate with round saddles.

Shot in the dark but I'd say $800 provided it's in great shape and includes a hardcase. That's what I paid for a NOS 5 string a few years back.
