wow,,, looking at all of these Highway Ones has shown me that they're the coolest looking basses in the Fender line

those tort guards look absolutely killer on these

that bass had tone... God I miss it dearly.. Best Highway One I played.. Havent found one that played like that one since I sold it..

Daddario Chromes.. My favorite flatwound there still semi-bright compared to Labella's etc and have a nice mid bark to them

hmmm,, i've got a set of chromes laying around here somewhere,, along with a set of TI jazz flats, & a set of LaBella 760FL's,,, might have to do a flatwound shootout on mine someday

Here's my '06 p-bass with tort guard. Bought it "dead" from GC for $399. Turns out it had a killer Raven Labs preamp under the covers that just needed a battery! Best p-bass tone I've heard!

2003 model--
Took off the pickguard and added vintage style reverse tuners, Gotoh bridge, "TUSQ" bridge saddles & nut, and pickup covers without holes for the magnets...
Been playin' over 35 years and this is the best bass I have owned (by far).
