Official Joyo Club Part 2: Beyond Thunderclone

Has anyone tried the Joyo wireless guitar system, Im considering one for my bedroom practice setup, basically it will all be on a small board and the headphones will also be wireless, not necessary but a damn good excuse to get some gear. They are on EvilBAY for around 60-70, on the other hand there is also a cheap NADY system for around 50, just curious if anyone has or has tried one.

I have NOT tried their wireless, but I was very interested in it also about a year ago. I can't remember specifics, but there were a lot of complaints about spotty signal, tone suck and a small range. In the end I decided to just get a line 6 g30 and I'm very happy I did.

if your only intended use is at home practice I could see it maybe working out, but to me I wouldn't want to waste the money. I don't know of anyone on tb using one but maybe someone will chime in.

Great #139, thanks. Just ordered this Joyo JE-53 preamp for my u-bass for $13 US direct from China.

I just traded my Ultimate Drive for an old school Boss OC-2 because I just wasn't using it. I have alot of dirt pedals and just couldn't see myself using it alot at the low gain settings I was looking for. I may pick up the American soon and see how that reacts with either my SVT or Mesa. I own an old Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal pedal that I use and thought the OCD tome or clone would be good, so I'll see how the American sounds in front of a tube amp.

So, my 2 ghetto-ass pedal boards are nearing completion. For bass i currently have a British, American, Bass Big Muff, Boss bass chorus and a small stone nano. that board has room for either 1 pedal the size of the Brit/American (or slightly larger) or 2 pedals the size of the Boss (or smaller). My "guitar" board (really just pedals i rarely use on bass) has a behringer bass overdrive, a UD, a joyo analog delay, a wah and a palmer compressor, not really room on it for anything else the way it's laid out, but i could squeeze one of those itty-bitty pedals above the wah (or make the board a bit bigger, but i'd rather not)

Any suggestions on cheap-ish pedals to round them out? I don't need anymore dirt, not sure how much use i'd get out of an EQ or another compressor. I pretty much just jam with a couple guitards, classic rock thru to the Clash and stuff like Meat Puppets and Clutch. I like to mess around with Doom-y sounding riffs, but the other guys aren't to into that.

I played trough a boss super overdrive and I liked the way the signal broke up. I don't like how nasaly the tone is or that it has a lot of lowend loss. What joyo do you guys think would be a keeper for me?
