Somehow it makes me think about John Myung. Maybe it's the color. That bass is sooo stealth and mean, resembling some of his Sig. Yamahas. Or, is it the subconsciosness that silently tells John should really drop the Music Man deal? :D I mean no harm, but on the most recent album he sounds like... well...


You say you were told it uses Skyline parts, does it read Skyline on the headstock? I gather it shouldn't since it was a prototype. How is this thing assembled? Fishman logo on the battery cap, flat string ferrules, hipshot licensed gears, graphite spray grounding, flat sawn neck? Not that it matters, just pure interest


UPD: You shouldn't even think changing the pups be it the Hell-to-the-yeah! or else

Thanks! I don't know on the construction. I'll have to scrutinize it when it gets here and report back.

My initial visualization was Chis, but I think I'll leave it as is.

If he puts CHIs in that thing, I will personally go there and save the bass (cannot beleive I just said that!!)...keep them "as is".......a prototype should be left "as is"......regardless.... (MPO)

BUt at least you are not a Panda!!!

where is he anyways???? he has been absent alot lately!

amybe he is off trying to get the MM or F word guys to give him a bass as well! :D

I have a JO5 in maple, and was thinking about maybe swapping necks at some point in the future.

But then I came to my senses and realized that I have no business trying to take apart these basses, and the proto needs to stay intact.
