So now that the LOG bass is on hold, what Skyline 5 stringers are currently (somewhat readily) available with Chi's?

i imagine you can retrofit just about any of the 5ers...if not all of them.

My first Lakland was a 4402 deluxe as well. It has been my only gigging bass for about 3 years. I picked up a DJ4 (AC-like model) a few months ago from Blondmix3 loaded with Chi's! awesome awesome!

But, I do HIGHLY recommend dual CHI-buckers! And, I'm loving the look of the MM covers. Chrome's great too, but just wouldn't have looked right on ole Sexual Chocolate.

I'm not going to change anything on the DJs, but a short scale decade is calling me. I already emailed Leo for details. Could be very very cool.

It was not on a bench....the Skyline rack (where all of the new/used Lakies are kept) was rather full.....did not play too much...mostly ate and talked (odd I know!!!)

Just wanted to take a moment and say how much I've been loving soloing the neck pickup on my 44-02D lately. Especially with a pick, for a little Gov't Mule-ish type action.

Played an outdoor show last weekend and the recordings came out pretty well so I figured I'd share

This has been discussed like 4 month ago. Someone, GregC IIRC, had seen and photo-ed them. Reminded of... errr... a Jazzmaster maybe? There were two at that time. Lakland said they weren't planning to put 'em nto serial production though.
Good news if they have since changed their minds. Could be a nice 15-th Anniversary announcement

well.....NOT under the "Lakland" name anyways......but it IS being considered.
