I'm not going to change anything on the DJs, but a short scale decade is calling me. I already emailed Leo for details. Could be very very cool.
Oh yes...that would be very cool!

Just wanted to take a moment and say how much I've been loving soloing the neck pickup on my 44-02D lately. Especially with a pick, for a little Gov't Mule-ish type action.
Played an outdoor show last weekend and the recordings came out pretty well so I figured I'd share

Good News:
7) saw a few 6 stringed items that looked suspiciously like guitars....hmmm??????
I know they made some guitars awhile ago for fun. It's on their site.

I saw those a LONG time ago...these were "newer".....![]()
Nice! My sons a Lakland player too! Nice pair you have there!
I think it looks like one of those "business posters" I see all over the place (i.e "Teamwork"...."Success" etc)
So I left Indy about 9 AM (after doing a little work) and started on my way - after a frustrating 30+ minutes looking for a Starbucks (darn GPS led me astray 2-3 times!!) I headed for Chicago.
Arrived at Lakland about noon and treated Dan, Leo and Carl to some Pottbelly's and spent about 2 hours there....
good news and bad news....
Bad news: Dan cannot do the limited run we have for the LOG basses (we suggested 20 but he still needs 25+) so this will have to be tabled until the economy gets better. Sorry!!!! we tried - however, i would like to thank you all for your support - we WILL do this!!!
Good News:
1) played Carl's 4-76 - wowsa! (see previous post)
2) saw Pino's bass - ubber cool!
3) Evans neck - hawt hawt hawt
4) Carl was working on the prortotype 19 fret short scale....it is supposed to fit ANY US BASS!!!! production date not set...however, if you want one....let Dan or Leo know so they know if there is interest (Evan???? - maybe not too late to change your fretted DJ???)
5) Leo has some GREAT stuff for sale (see LOG site)
6) I am working on something with Leo to ease my 5 banger fretless GAS....hopefully more later....

8) They are all pumped for the 23rd!!!

Very funny...I am more that happy with my manhood, Doug. Nice try......
....and quit dreaming...it's not going to happen![]()
Anyone else wanna post what they play their Lakies through? I'll go first with the current incarnation of my rig....
Oooo...very true Doug! What up this that?!
Chew got some splanin' to do!
OK, my splanin' is like this...
You know that old pair of jeans that fit 'just right'? That's Ole Blue. When I need that comfort therapy, I grab Ole Blue and the world is a kinda, simpler place. Now that she's been around 12 years my boys also have said "you wouldn't really sell Blue, would you Dad?" I in fact did 'sell' her a couple of years back. Luckily the deal fell through and I was extremely relieved. When i boxed her up to ship, I had a moment....
If the Glaub (I havent named her yet) fills the bill, Ole Blue may not be safe much longer.
BTW , Matty - did she have a name already?
