just got home with the b/m 55-02...boy do the strings need changing. i already cut them off (after loosening, of course), but the smell is lingering, lol. no worries, though, i was forewarned by the seller. i'll snap a pic of it w/o strings...it's got a really nice grain on the neck and no nicks or dings anywhere else. some minor scratching from slapping and thumb placement it looks like, but you have to be looking at lights reflection to see it.

Nice! Wait, you're buying a 55-02 AND a 55-94?

i found the 55-02 on ebay after selling my sterling, so i jumped on it. it has barts, the 55-94 has laklands...i know i'll be selling the 55-02, but i wanted the chance to play with the barts and see if i like them or not so i know what to put in my 55-94. my last 55-02 had the laklands and so far i'm finding the barts to be more to my liking. the current 55-02 is from 2004. of course, this could all change when i get the 55-94 in a week or so. :hyper:

i also had to spend about an hour cleaning it while watching movies last night...it's got that old string smell attached to it. i even pulled the pickups out to clean on the sides, lol. i guess being shipped in a hard case with old strings still on it makes for good fun cleaning. :hmm:

Yeah! Way to go HFace

wooo! :hyper:
