OK, I'm not gonna be Markus and keep everyone in suspense. It was a very difficult choice. Part of me wanted to make it ABSOLUTELY my bass, and do it like this...

Then I thought I'd calm it down a LITTLE like this...

But in the end, I took a couple of things into consideration. I wanted a P Bass for that traditional rock sound and feel, PLUS it's the frikkin' BG5 Prototype, and I would probably be excommunicated if I did anything deemed obnoxious to it.

So in the end, I ALMOST went here with it....

Now when I get my JO5, break out the shades, because the flake is ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!!!!!

Thanks, I have a feeling it will go over well. It won't be FINISHED next week, it should get to me midweek and immediately go out for paint (with a quoted turnaround of 7 days). I already have the pickguard, and the Nordy NP5 is on it's way, so by the end of the month bolt down your belongings....

looks great...i'm not sure i'd have really worried about anyone else's opinions, but more for resale value, perhaps. we know how well you hold on to basses. :ninja:
