Posted at the beginning of this thread, but just back from the guys at Lakland with a fresh setup is my pawn shop rescue a ’97 55-94.

They both sound killer, play fantastic as one would expect & they're not an eye sore either. ;)

My US JO5 was also delivered yesterday. We moved yesterday and it took about 10 hours. I was only able to play it w/headphones through a bass pod for a few minutes. WOW this beast is all GROWL! More of a review to come.

Grats to all those who got new Laklands!

I finally got it in. I thought it would feel like my old 55-02, but man was I wrong. They are night & day. The 55-94 is so smooth and the neck feels great. Always wanted a 55-94 and glad I bought it.

I actually got this a couple of weeks ago. I just have not taken the time to post the pictures here. So, here is my latest Lakland purchase. USA Bob Glaub #138. When I got it, it had some DRs on it that I really did not like. And the setup was horrible. .I have never really liked any DR strings...No offense DR lovers. Anyway, I put some SIT Silencer half wounds on it today. I have done some neck and saddle adjustments and it now plays and sounds great. Another happy Lakland purchase. :)

whoa....STILL on 20??? I expected half way through 21 by now...I guess I need to do my part!!

Rodney - sweet, sweet and sweet!!! aned a low number to boot.....love it! congrats! Nice burst...

The callowhill is definitely not on hold. Tim is working on the body right now. I opted not to go with the pearl white metallic finish and more of an alpine white. with a brown tort guard. The bass will be awesome... and it will have a Lakland p-pickup.
I'm going to wait on that bass before I order another Callowhill, but it will be a 5 string.

As for a "back up" to my fretless DJ, here's what I'm thinking
Fretless DJ4
Trans-Brown Mahogany body
acrylic coated Maple board with ebony dots and lines
Single-coil Chi-Sonics
White Pickguard
Passive

A nice compliment I would think. My current DJ would be with flats and that with ss or nickel rounds. A good 1-2 combo. Though, that would be after getting a five-string and my p-bass, which is why I say a year or two.

We'll see where everything winds up. It doesn't look like money will be available for me for a while... I'll have some more flexibility whenever my fretted DJ comes in. Past my fretless and fretted DJs, everything else is a luxury anyway.

sounds sweet! will they do a mahogany body on a DJ? will be heavy...that is fo sho.......trans brown...oh well.....here come's the shoe polish!!! (JK my friend!!)
