I actually got this a couple of weeks ago. I just have not taken the time to post the pictures here. So, here is my latest Lakland purchase. USA Bob Glaub #138. When I got it, it had some DRs on it that I really did not like. And the setup was horrible. .I have never really liked any DR strings...No offense DR lovers. Anyway, I put some SIT Silencer half wounds on it today. I have done some neck and saddle adjustments and it now plays and sounds great. Another happy Lakland purchase. :)

yeah?????? good news.......any hints?

does this meant tha Callowhill is on hold?

The callowhill is definitely not on hold. Tim is working on the body right now. I opted not to go with the pearl white metallic finish and more of an alpine white. with a brown tort guard. The bass will be awesome... and it will have a Lakland p-pickup.
I'm going to wait on that bass before I order another Callowhill, but it will be a 5 string.

As for a "back up" to my fretless DJ, here's what I'm thinking
Fretless DJ4
Trans-Brown Mahogany body
acrylic coated Maple board with ebony dots and lines
Single-coil Chi-Sonics
White Pickguard
Passive

A nice compliment I would think. My current DJ would be with flats and that with ss or nickel rounds. A good 1-2 combo. Though, that would be after getting a five-string and my p-bass, which is why I say a year or two.

We'll see where everything winds up. It doesn't look like money will be available for me for a while... I'll have some more flexibility whenever my fretted DJ comes in. Past my fretless and fretted DJs, everything else is a luxury anyway.

That's what I'm doing with my two JO CS basses. Once for flats, and one for rounds. Love the tone of a jazz with flats and a jazz with rounds, so...why not!

This one is a lifer...I think ;-) All others are revolvers :ninja:.....buy a Hollowbody! They are Awesome Basses!!!!!! I want another as soon as I have some $$$

So I've noticed a bunch of you guys go through Laklands like tissues... Does anyone have a Lakland that they simply can't see themselves ever selling (at least in the foreseeable future)?

I've toyed around w/ the idea of selling my 44-02d to help fund a Hollowbody, but it's so damn versatile, I think I'd really miss it and just end up buying another one later.

Hey Gang:

Blondemix3 told me to get in here and show off
my new Blonde. Guess he's got a thing for Blondes,
eh? :D :D

Anyway, here's my new lady:

Does this mean I'm a LOG now?
How do you get a number?

Thanks.

Sexual Chocolate and my first Lakland, my Bart-equipped 55-94 are never going anywhere!

Well, looks like I've missed about 30+ pages while moving to my house on the 12th, painting, pulling up carpet and laying some wood lam flooring. Still have a garage full of boxes to go thru too.

My band has made it to the finals in a battle. We could win about 6K in goodies, and better yet, an opening slot for a big name. Wish us luck please.
'grats on the move. Good luck in the finals, man! When is it?
