I like my pedalboard, and it has pretty much stabilized now. I may rotate in one or two pedals from the shelves (mainly fuzzes and delays depending on what I fancy at the time) but I think overall it will stay like this for the foreseeable future. Partly because I'm quite happy with this board now, partly because my interest has turned to building a second board with Source Audio pedals and MIDI control.

I really love this set-up: few effects but quality stuff (for my budget), favorite pedals from makers I respect (Tech21, MXR), mostly analog, pedals I switch on/off during songs on lower part of board, everything relatively compact, decent cables, DI at end of chain, each pedal is at the right place for what I'm looking for tone-wise... Since (1) $$$ is going elsewhere for now (2) no space left save for a micro thumpinator, should I find one used and (3) I have all the fx I need at this point (except for a filter, maybe), I should be good for a while...

This! Is my goal. Already told you once on another thread haha but your boards are so nice. Everyone's got their boards overflowing and pedals hanging off in every direction and I get it but I can't stand that myself.
I'm running the following chain:
Bass -> Turbo Tuner -> Iron Ether Subrerranea -> Mastortron clone -> Moog MF-101 -> Empress Compressor -> Aguilar ToneHammer -> Moog MF-104Z -> Iron Ether Nimbus -> Moog MF-108 (stereo) -> Strymon Timeline (stereo). Also mounted is the CP-251 & 8 step program & a homemade CV Gate generator.
I can say I'm really happy with this board as I'm finding that it really does make all of the sounds I wan to make in most scenarios and I plan to leave it this way for a loooong time. It's been a good 10 years in the making, both learning how pedals interact with each others sounds, but also how to best control them when playing. What I love is that I can take it anywhere in the realm of tone shaping and into noise generation that rivals some synths. I payed close attention to being able to change the connected order of effects for two reasons:
1) so that I can actually convert it to a synth station using MIDI (Animoog as a controller only on iPhone & Line6 mobilizer) to have the ClusterFlux play notes when it self oscillates. Very crude, but also very analog & effective.
2) because I don't like a pedalboard to fix me in a specific pattern. It gets to be boring creating gas & stale sounds. I always use this as a starting point for the signal path now, and let it evolve as we jam out music. The dials all change and the order changes. No memory banks (except timeline) means no lock down of creativity.
If I added anything to it, it would be a grindier fuzz/distortion, but between the Moog filter, mastotron and the tone hammer I'm able to dial in some decent grind when the situation arises. Currently I use an OCD & paraEQ if I know I need to.

I use a pp2+ and a pedal power digital to power the board, giving me the ability to power some tag along items if need be.
With everything I have, there is zero excuses for new gear. I simply can't justify it. Chances are that I can do most things with what I have, or in a way that pleases me. Really grateful that I was able to assemble such a collection of toys that provide inspiration and joy to break out of practicing scales or covers and just do something I have never heard before.
(I'm lazy and haven't taken nice pictures yet)

I haven't been in a band for a while so it's pretty much 'at home' playing for me. I must say I do still get a hankerin' for a new toy every now & again. Not pictured is an EH Bass Muff but aside from possibly getting a nicer reverb unit than the MS70 CDR, the only real upgrade I'm thinking about is getting a Deluxe version of the VT Bass. The main reason for that is because I usually have to tweak it when I switch between using my amp and when I connect to my pc setup. Aside from that, I have to say the GT-500 (with the VT Bass on) is probably one of the best sounding od/dist boxes I've ever used in a bass rig (and I've used quite a few). It's very transparent and the fact that both sides have bass and treble controls helps quite a lot. I will also add that the 18v adapter helps noticeably in the headroom dept.

This is an outdated picture from about 2 months ago, but there haven't been any additions. The only thing that has changed is some rearranging and the FS3Xs are gone in favor of a move to MIDI. My GAS is not zero, but it is lower than it has been in a while. I will always be on the lookout for new synth-y stuff and new fuzzes, but I'm super happy with my dirt, Eventides, and much of the rest. My biggest GAS has actually been for MIDI- or controller-related stuff; I'm trying to take full advantage of the board that I have. My other GAS is for stuff that's not been released yet, like the Panda Audio Future Impact (the possible Deep Impact reissue that is in the protoyping stages) and the Source Audio Reflex Monster Expression Pedal (going back to the controller GAS).
