The salesman said that they had never sold anything like that at the store (I presume he means that particular store) He said he had no info on them but he would call around and see if he could find out anything. I gave him my email addy and now it will be interesting to see if he finds out anything.

That's pure BS... they can look up prices on stuff they don't currently have in stock. You've just officially been blown off. Don't call them back. They're stupid and rude.

Besides, you're not looking for a special order... just a price for a normal stock item.

Did you download the list yet? Do that, call from that list and see if you don't do better.

When I purchased my CMD102P they didn't have one in stock at my local GC, nor had they ever. The GC guy looked it up in the system and had it shipped from another store.

Believe it or not I can't find anywhere to download a list from. Honestly, I feel like i'm in outer space. I am in the Southern tier of NY for gods sake, 100 miles from my nearest GC!

Don't depend on the internet; call the store. Store #440 in Dallas, TX carries the MB stuff currently available. What they have in stock right now I couldn't tell you. You could call Rhys (pronounced Reece) Johnson at Store #440 if you don't have any luck in NY. I think the # is 972 960 0011. Rhys is off on Thurs.

What town in NY do you live in? I used to go to the Adirondacks every Summer as a kid.

When I was there Monday, they had several MB cabs, a LMII, SD800, F1, and whichever head has tube compression: either the 501 or 503. I believe I also saw a Jeff Berlin sig. and a 210 combo. The 210 combo was the one which tilts back.

You can likely get a price break from Rhys.

Unfortunately the sales guy was CORRECT.

Guitar Center is not currently ordering the Little Mark 250 (which is like the Little Mark II but half the power).

Individual items CANNOT be special-ordered from Italy. If it's not in the GC system yet, it's not yet available yet in the US...
And there are no US prices set for items not currently being ordered.

HOWEVER we are getting close to having the full product range available in the US, and that should happen in the next 3-4 months, so please hang in there!

Well, we have a bit of a snafu here... I was assuming he was asking about something GC was currently importing... I didn't realize the LM 250 was not on that list, so I thought the guy was simply saying he couldn't look it up ONLY because it wasn't in stock... not because it was not currently imported at all.

My bad.

I think this is just because they import them directly from MB, and have no special warranty arrangements like we do here through GC. It also means you have to send the unit(s) all the way back to Italy for service, tho, unless something's changed on that.

I was going to get an SA450 from somebody in Canada a while back, and that was the deal killer for me. Whenever I get into something from a company that hasn't been around as long as some others, I like to have the security blanket of decent and domestic warranty coverage (tho I've never needed it with my LMII).

Peter would know for sure, but last I checked, that was the case for getting MB stuff from places other than GC.
