If you don't mind, share details about what you like about the LMII/PJ cab combination. I own a LMII, but got to try the 8x5" version of that cab with the Epi head, which is similar to the LMII and quite love that combo.
Yeah, Would be interested in your opinion of the LMII / PJB 4B cab combination.
I bought the PJB Suitcase and 4B cab purely on spec.
My opinions are better left unsaid as I sold the two straight away and bought my LMII and UL212 S2.

I once had an LM-II that I traded away for a crucial studying tool (laptop) since I wasn't playing much at the time. I knew I'd eventually own another MB head as nothing I've played has come close to them.
Anyway, floating around Ebay today I found a used SA-450 going for a ridiculous 'BIN' price, granted it has a few blems and has seen some use (though still in perfect working order according to the seller). I couldn't pass it up. I thought it would be kickass to have a kind of 'LM-II with bonus features'. Should have it in 1-2 weeks!
No pics, no proof; Talk about amp mojo! Reminds me of an old beat-up 800RB or something

I sold my Carvin B1500 recently to get a Markbass. Ordered one from MF only to find last night that they already ran out and its looking like August on the backorder. So I said to myself "NOPE!" and booked down to GC today after the dentist with a floppy upper lip and snagged one. I was playing the R500 in the little isolation room and the sales guy comes in and asks how I'm doing. "Great" I say, "do you have any F1's in stock?" Yes in back. "I'll take it", I say! Oh the look on his face....priceless. Easiest sale for him in awhile by the look. Just set it up to see how it sounds and so far I'm digging it. . I forgot the rack ears though. DOH! Waiting to here back if they have some laying around. I have a couple shows this weekend and I was starting to sweat the amp thing. no more.

Did anyone see the Special Edition LMII being offered by MB to commemorate their "Bass Player Product of the Year" award? The ad is in this month's Bass Player magazine, inside front cover. I tried to find a pic on the net, but, no luck.

One of the places we play in Denver tapes every show, so it's a decent way to get some YouTube fodder going. Single camera, and pretty dark, but not bad for the nominal $20 they charge.
I just posted the video from our last show there on April 19th. I have to say that I hope the performance was a little more exciting than it appears on this video - but they do take a board signal for the sound, so it's not bad for that.
Markbass content - I got a solo in "Red Baron", and if you can suffer through my hacking you can get a good feel for what this amp's DI sounds like soloing in a mix. Here's the track, and my blow begins at about 3:10. Link to the other tunes if you wish by clicking my user name on YouTube.
One more - here's the tune "Alligator", which has a slap and a fingerstyle part, and for whatever reason they have the bass up pretty loud in it.
BTW, it was Skjold --> effects with a bypass --> LMII --> Avatar 410 (although what you hear here is the DI out of the LMII).
I'm going to cross post this in the Skjold thread, since there's not all that much overlap in the audience.

So,It took it's maiden voyage.Outside deck gig,91 degrees,4 sets.Played sets 1&2 with my Stingray,Amp flat,VLE 8o'clock,VPF between 10 & 11 o'clock,gain 12o'clock.Schroeder 21012L cab. Stingray tone centered except treble rolled back to around 11 o'clock. There was no doubt a Stingray was in the house!Nice bite,but enough bottom to keep it bumpin,overall a sweet deal.Sets 2&3 switched to G&L L2K.OH BOY!!! Had to back gain down to about 10,bass down to 11.ABSOLUTE TONE HEAVEN! The combination of the LM2 and Schroeder is Da Sh*t! Guitarist as well as other bassist at the gig just had to check the little black & yellow box out! Took a stroll about 25 feet or so into the room and the bass was clear as a bell and still retained it's punch.I AM A BELIEVER!!!!!Finally! It gets it's first run this weekend. It sounds great with Schroeders. Number Please!

Couple of questions. Are you running the DI in pre or post? I have not made the jumper switch yet. Do you use the amp stand most of the time? I'm contemplating that with my Schroeder 1210, I always have PA support so I guess I'm not that concerned with losing the coupling effect.
