I'm in the same boat. All of the online stores affiliated with Guitar Center have had the CL106 for 3 weeks now but the Guitar Center stores haven't. I just checked today at the Towson,Md. store(one of the first stores to carry MB products) and they don't have it in the system. I want to try the CL106 because it is the most portable sealed cab 610. The CL 108 (which they have in stock) is the bomb but I don't need 8 tens. I am curious to see if it has some of the qualities of Berg NV610. The CL106's 10's go to 6 KHZ without the tweeter which is higher than the NV610. So to me it is more flexable because you can turn the tweeter back on. I have a SA450 to use it with. If you can audition one please give it a review.
My 2 week special order rack ears for my F1?
Today they tell me it will be another 2 weeks.

I went to a GC in St Louis in hopes to get some rack ears for my LMII. They had a SD800 Demo model with rack ears and thought for a nanosecond that would work then quickly realized the width difference (I am quik like that
). Asked the sales manager and he said let me check something. Comes back up with a set that was special ordered by someone a long time ago that never picked them up. My best GC experience yet. He did say that it is a pain, because Markbass will only allow an order of 12 since they ship from Italy so GC's have to coordinate as probably all 12 wouldn't go in a single store. So my point is I would agree to cancel the GC order and get it from MF that would seem to ship from a central location where ordering 12 would not be a problem.[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

On a lighter front...
I have this strange gig where they really like a lot of bass guitar in particular on stage, and I have to drive an additional cab on the keyboard side of the stage as a "remote bass monitor". For those of you that have been reading my drivel for a while, this is where my "2 ohm requirement" has always come from.
I have been using my MB stuff on the blues gigs, where I don't have to do this, but my Eden head for the gigs where I have to drive that other cab. So far, so good, but I really like the MB tone in a live setting... it's a bit punchier, and I'm sure it'd work great in this gig, but of course I can't drive that other cab.
Well, an interesting development. I just got this F1 head for eval due to a nice sale online, so now I have both the LMII and the F1 (like some other folks do). What's cool about these, at least for my strange and bizarre needs, is they stack perfectly. Yeah, you know where this is going.Also key, is the parallel effects loop default.
So I pipe the efx send on the primary (my rig) head into the efx return on the "aux cab" head. What's really awesome about this, is I have individual tone controls for both speakers, and volume controls as well. For this particular oddball config, it's about as good as it gets... even better than driving a power amp from the head, since the same tone controls would affect both sides. It'd work ok, but not ideally.
So I was on the fence about whether I'd keep both, and if not, which one would stay, but I think this locks them both in. I'm going to try it at the gig tonight, but I expect it to work great.
A cool side benefit of this is, with some simple cable swapping, I can finally do a real effective A/B test between the F1 and LMII on a gig.
I do something similar with my Shuttle 6.0 and LMII. I connect the Shuttle's DI (pre) to the LMII balanced input, adjusting the Gain/Volume on the Shuttle first, then the Gain on the LMII. The Shuttle's mute effectively mutes both amps.
Lately, I've been driving a vertical array of two UL 112's and two UL 110's this way, with the 112's powered by the LMII and the 110's powered by the Shuttle (with both the LF Boost and Mid Scoop engaged). It sound great and I can carry all the pieces myself!

Just got back from GC, where I returned the non-operating SD800 that let me down on the gig last nite (used my LMII) and procured my F1. So now I have the best of both worlds- portability to the max with the F1, and the tone I've come to depend on from the LMII. Not that there's a HUGE difference in sound between the two, but the F1 sounds like it has a little more immediacy to the sound. Plus, now I can slave the two to drive two cabs if I need them. So I'm happy.

just wanted to say that ive been using my SA450 and LMII a lot to record our gigs off the desk just recently. Using the DI out from the amps has given me no issues at all.
Both heads have been giving me a nice thick tone. Was the DI issue ever sorted out here? Did anyone get the official word on whats going on with it?
Not been here for a while but i remember there being issues with the sound quality from the LMII DI.
Recently got a 1212L to go with my SA450 and i cant believe how punchy this rig is. Its even more punchy than my LMII + 1210R.

I recall it finally boiling down to a few specific units, and the resolution was simply to have it fixed. I believe the units were probably swapped out for new and the problem was resolved.
The power of TB is a double-edged sword. The information exchange is great, but sometimes a relatively isolated problem can be blown out of proportion and mis-viewed as a genuine trend.
Played my new F1 for the first time Saturday evening for a private party, outdoors with my Schroeder 410L. Fantastic sound, clear, punchy, deeper and yet quicker than my LMII. My bandmates were wondering what was up when I brought in my cab, my bass, and my cord bag all in one trip and never went back for my LMII...their eyes bugged out when they saw the size of it. For those of you who haven't seen one in real life, it's about the size of a hardback book. The asked if I would play my LMII since they're used to it, and I said no, this would be plenty. They all loved the sound, as did I. Walking out front, it was clear, focused, not harsh, and carried like crazy. I love it more than my LMII because of the size, and the sound is a knockout as well!

Thanks Vic! I just called Music123 and asked them to match their own price. At first customer service denied they could give me a rebate after the fact but I held my ground & they blinked!
