Well.... I ordered my F1 on 7-2-08. Total $740.00 with tax. I got a 5% off offer the next day which I called them about and they lowered the total to $711.48.

Then I see (thanks Vic) the promo 4th sale thing and call them back but they wont' honor because they said they gave the prior discount of the intital $100.00 off the the $799.00 plus the 5%. This is totally bogus, but I'm glad to try the amp out. I'm going to call back an argue some more. :eyebrow:

All I can say is that I paid about $900 the week they came out about a year ago (before they dropped the price from $845, plus tax and shipping since they were only available at a few GC's, and no discounts were allowed), and I feel I got a deal, given how good this thing sounds (to me anyway, for my tone goals).

$700 for an amp of this quality... stop complaining:D

You'll get your money... even if they make you ship yours back or refuse shipment and order a new one, which is just stupid of course. It's in their own policy on their web site they refund the price diff between what you paid and the lower price up to 45 days after purchase, based on price verification (which should be no problem, since it's THEIR price!).

They tried the same crap with me, but once I told them "Hey, I'm getting the difference back one way or another... either via your "best price" guarantee (the smart and easy way) or your "return" policy (the stupid and harder way). It's up to you. Give me either the refund or the RMA number right now. Your call."

I got the refund. :)

More from the annals of using CMD 121P... I went to a jam night here in Silicon Valley that has turned into a blues-night and I'm not that keen on constantly playing walking blues lines, so I took my keyboard and the CMD 121P with me.

The keyboard sounded really, really good, organ sounds, piano, Rhodes et rest. CMD 121P is the most versatile amp I've encountered. Might hook my Pod XT next and see how the guitar emulations sound on stage....

Here's mine. I use it with a SWR 210 when I need more juice, but most of the time I just use the MB.

Yeah ksandvik. I have used my 121p combo for keys and EWI and even use harp (harmonicas) through it for blues (through a Fender Deluxe Reverb emulator pedal first for some dirt and reverb). It does everything for me right now, including of course electric bass and EUB. It is the most astounding (considering the size) piece of kit that I've ever owned.

.............Just ordered an SD800, but it won't be here until sometime in September! :spit: Maybe I can get a number and hang out for a while to ease the pain! :) Actually, I have no problem waiting either, just wanted to have a reason to be here! :eyebrow:

More from the annals of using CMD 121P yesterday, two gigs. One was in this long room where the drums and bass player was elevated up, looked like something from the BBC Top of the Pops. I took my 2x10 Neo with me, but never needed to plug it in, worked just fine (always amazing how I could get by just using the 12" combo in all kinds of situations...)

Next a acoustic jam night with drummer session. It worked fine but I think I should have adjusted the sound as the midrange seemed to overpower the weaker acoustic guitars sent over the PA. However, when an electric guitar player joined 1am it all gel:ed together. As many have mentioned, the LM sound just fits in so well in a band situation with guitars and other instruments, it has its own pocket where the sound spectrum works so well.

I'm freakin' p*ssed. I ordered an F1 during Music123's 4th of July sale and their site said it was instock. Now I get an email from them saying it's on backorder and won't be available until freakin' September.

Wanting to expose some of the old-gray big stringers to the wonderful world of Markbass, I took my CMD102 with the traveler 102P extension to last Sundays afternoon blues jam hosted by Mike Wright on his very private estate out here in the Washington woodlands. Conjured up the usual raised eyebrows from the Precsion / Ampeg crowd which soon turned to smiles once engaged with the sound of this tiny combo. Numerous chunks of timber from Sadowsky, Lakland, Pedulla and the usual assortment of Fenders passed through those 4 tens which were jumping around keeping pace with 3 guitars, horns, harmonicas and 2 drummers. You should have heard those Ampeg diehards grumble when it was time for me to take my toys and go home.

I bet there will be requests for some MBC membership numbers from the Northwest soon. :hyper:

I don't require photographic proof (tho of course it's ALWAYS appreciated! :)), I trust you guys, but as laid back as I am, I do at least require that you own the product to ask for membership, so as soon as that takes place, post a number request and welcome to the family! :D

That was the 2nd highlight of the afternoon....when I hauled my rig out in 1 load!
I'm a well seasoned thumper also but my hair is not gray. Atleast my skin is not gray where hair once was.
