Here's my Marshall rig, less another VBC810 waiting in the wings. She does everything I need for performances. Have a couple of other vintage amps for their tone. But the Marshall is the workhorse. No GAS. Please may I have a number.

After months of ogling and coveting, I finally got it home this afternoon! My new Marshall Stack!

I gave up a very nice vintage Sunn Colisuem with a 2x15 bottom, but I'm thrilled. My wife's already yelled at me and the kids keep telling me to turn it down...perfect!

After I get a few days with it, I'll post my favorite settings using the modern/classic/blend features.

Nice, very nice. I was so tempted to get the 115 when I got my 410 but I was afraid of using the whole 450 watts.

After a day or two of trying out different settings with my different basses, here are my current favorites:

With my Ric 4001 (selector set for both pickups, volumes both full, tones both half)
Modern Channel (compressor off)
• Bass - 12 o'clock
• Mid Frequency - 1 o'clock
• Midrange - 2 o'clock
• Treble - 4 o'clock

With my Fender Jazz Bass (bridge pickup volume full, neck volume half, tone half)
Modern Channel (compressor off)
• Bass - 1 o'clock
• Mid Frequency - 1 o'clock
• Midrange - 12 o'clock
• Treble - 3 o'clock
Classic Channel (Gain boost on)
• Gain - 12 o'clock
• Bass - 12 o'clock
• Voice Shift - 1
• Voice - 11 o'clock
• Treble - 4 o'clock
Channels blended to 70% Classic

With my Fender Precision Bass (pickup volume full, tone 3/4)
Modern Channel (compressor on)
• Bass - 2 o'clock
• Mid Frequency - 10 o'clock
• Midrange - 1 o'clock
• Treble - 11 o'clock
Classic Channel (Gain boost on)
• Gain - 10 o'clock
• Bass - 2 o'clock
• Voice Shift - 1
• Voice - 11 o'clock
• Treble - 10 o'clock
Channels blended to 40% Classic

I mostly like playing classic and hard rock, as well as some blues and Motown (for which I love the Precision).

Hahaha. I love my mini-Marshall. It has the trademark HUGE Marshall sound, considering its size. And it does indeed sound awesome with the gain cranked up.
