An update on my Orange Terror Bass 1000 rig. I recently got a 2x10" cab to stack with the 18" cab I have and also loaded in a Celestion in the 18" so it's 8 ohms instead of 4 ohms. Now my rig is complete and sounds pretty good.

got the BAX guys and was very let down. didn't have a lot of bass content, had to have the BAss on max to get the same level of low end as my bypassed signal. gonna probably sell it soon, i bet it sounds fantastic for guitar though. the breakup was very amp like and natural.
Are you playing alone or in a band? Is your bass active?
In a mid-loud band you are going to have a hard time being heard with a 25 watt Orange so you might tend to push it to distortion. Maybe you need more power.
If you are alone, maybe your bass is too hot, try with the volume pot of your bass at 75%.
Just got to crank my new AD200B up for a few hours yesterday. Threw a Mullard 12AT7 and two RCA 12AX7s in the there and played through an 810.
Fattest, meanest bass tone I've ever gotten. I've had an SVT-II, SVT-VR, a vintage SVT, a DB750, D-180, and a couple V4s. This is the best rock amp I've ever heard. This band has three guitar players playing through a Rockerverb, JCM900, and JCM800 and it just fills everything out with plenty of volume.

It's just my home practice amp. I've tried it with an active and passive. The active has high output, but i'm getting the same problems.
I contacted orange and they can repair it, but it seems rather expensive. This kindof sucks
I'm using Winged C's in my Invalid Link Removed, and had them in my Thunderverb 200 as well - Great tubes that keep the bias but honestly wouldn't spend the $ on them again as I can buy two sets of quality power tubes for the same price!
Forgot about this thread. Finally got a SP212 cab to go with my Terror 500 combo. Got it used very cheap as the grill cloth has been poorly replaced, has some scuffs but no tears except inside where the grill cloth covers.
Anybody know of a place that does grill cloth replacements? I have the badges and want it to look like it originally did.

Here you get them from Tube Amp Doctor. I am not sure about the land of the free, but I guess from Mojotone, they seem to have the same selection as TAD.

It's one I built..... 215 loaded with faital pro 15PR400's. Matches really well with the OR120.
