Quick question. i just picked up a Nashville era Killer B 4 -walnut-. I've read the push/pull on the volume knob is active/passive, and contour (slap) switch, and a bass boost? I don't have it yet but wanted to know what the push pull function does. The MTD 535's I've owned did not have a push/pull on the volume? Thanks for your time...

Mine is active only, the push-pull is a slap switch. Which seems odd, as there is also a 3-way toggle that appears to be a mid-freq centering control (although according to this info - Link Removed - the toggle switch is for "mid cut-boost".) I think I've read that some KB's have a 2-way toggle, as opposed to a 3-way. (?)



I'd like to know what the intent was for having an internal trim pot for overall gain, and also separate trim/gain pots for each pickup. I must be missing something, surely there was some thought behind the idea.

I'm currently on the hunt for a original pre-Nashville 6 string fretted Tobias. I've played Tobias in the late 80's and the last time was in 1995 but never an owner. I was curious if you owners feel the long top horn makes them a little unbalanced and neck heavy? I remember seeing some used ones where they moved the strap locks in an apparent attempt to adjust? Thoughts?
