I used the LA compressor/limiter in front of the blueline last night we had a lightning fast run through so I didn't get much time to play around with anything else. If practice happens tonight I'll have more opportunity to experiment with the classic pack.
I liked the LA in front better than behind the blueline.

Try one in front AND after!!

I did do that and like I said I didn't have much time to experiment but I didn't like what I heard immediately so I got rid of the one behind and threw the eq pedal in and dialed up a nice tight low mid. But I only had like a minute so I was pulling stuff around quickly before we started. More to come after tonight about that I guess. But I did quickly love what the LA did in front without tweaking anything. I threw it on in front and it was like.....BAM!!!!

I have the LA comp in EVERY one of my presets, that's how I feel about it!!

Last night, while goofing around on my single coil P, I boosted the peak reduction to max, then brought the gain up to match the volume without the comp.

I was rewarded with a tone that would be perfect on any Motown record!! The right amount of squish without being audible, just overall a fantastic tone.

The LA-2A makes everything sound better. Probably my favorite purchase in Jamup, aside from the Bass Expansion!!
