Official Zon Club Part 5

So I came across this on REVERB and it says it's brand new but I didn't think Zon had no more dealers selling Zon's and to my knowledge Zon hasn't build bolt on graphite neck instruments for a while, the bolt on neck instruments were called Legacy Standards not Elites or they might of been called Elite Standards crap it's been so long but anyways it's a beautiful bass I'm just trying to find out if this is a real Zon instrument and not a fake!!!!

It's real. They built plenty of bolt-on Legacy basses.

Zon can check that serial. It is/would be a Legacy Standard, not an Elite, though. An "authorized" dealer would know that, I would think. Everything looks legit to me except the price and the mounting holes for the pickups. The country of origin is also fishy because there are some really good luthiers down that way faking other prestigious brands. Can't tell by the pictures of the neck is graphite or not.

Mounting holes don’t bother me- I’ve seen other Zons with the three bolt mounting.

Before someone says the bridge- they used bridges with rigid raised sides like that for a period. I don’t know what version of bridge they’re using now.

I don’t remember the serial code interpretation. I’d have to take a look at mine but the year it was made was part of it.

Is it an official refresh of the Zon Website : Link Removed

(that never went live? they don't even have time to complete a must needed refresh)

I acquired a couple of ZON recently and I'm quite pumped to be (again) a legitimate member of the Club

(a 35 inch scale did not work for me and this time going for 34 inch and pretty much everything that could make it my dream instrument)

The Sonus 5 that came into the classified last week end, still a couple of weeks before it arrives home, I'll share pic when I have it in my hands and I can be sure it's not a dream :)

The other one a 4/1 that I sourced in Italy, this one was also shared a couple of years ago in the thread here, and for some logistics reason I will only pick it up in June. Hope I can share about it over the summer
