Actually went with David King. I paid him on Saturday, knobs where done Tuesday, and to my house on Friday! He's in Oregon and I'm in Louisiana, so that's as quick as you can get it.. I paid $100 for the set shipped.

Is he doing these all the time now, or do you have to call and ask to have one made?

He is setting up (or has set up) some jigs/tooling so that he can do these regularly.
The second ramp (between the pup and the neck) is unusual, but on fretless I play a lot over that range so I asked for it, and he made it.

Also (typical Joe, from what I understand), he sloped the ramp to match the neck angle so that the string height is absolutely even over the full length of the ramp.

Sorry 'bout the lousy pic. This is an earlier model as it has the non-truss rod set neck. Feels about the same as my Status Stealth but I like the Bart pup / pre harness better.

Nope...strung B - G with 40-125's. The previous owner had it strung with heavy gauge but tuned down a 1/2 step.

It doesn't look like a "standard" option but I'd bet he would do it. Tetsu of L'Arc-en-Ciel has a couple of Zons including a Legacy Elite 519.
