I may have forgotten, but in what way? I did have a blue Sonus 5 I did some stuff to, but that's long gone. This one's bone stock and doesn't need anything.

I had the SC's swapped out for some of their soaps for a bit of a phatter sound, especially since it was a second copy of something I already had (the one I still have). Ultimately, I re-learned the lesson "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", because as nice as it was, I ended up preferring the standard formula, and selling the mod'd bass.
It was all done at Zon, so it was pure pro, great results, just ended up not being my thing. Oh well, live and (re)learn I guess. Soon I'll be joining your club... just ordered my first Zon Sonus this week... I will send my review and pictures as soon as I get it...

Hello all. Anybody ever played a Sonus Classic? I was thinking about picking one up in a trade and can't find any info. on it anywhere (aside for the little description at the Zon site).
By the way, I'd just play the thing and find out about it for myself, but I've got to drive 75 miles to do it. Hoping one of you knowledgeable folks can give me some information before I make the trip.

I did briefly at a NAMM show. FWIW, I remember thinking it sounded great as well, but it's been long enough I can't really characterize the tone for ya.
You can`t wrong with a Sonus.
I guess all you gotta do is play and find out if it`s your tone.
I`ve owned 3 Zon Sonus so far (2 fretted, 1 fretless) and although they sounded different (mainly because of electronics and woods used) I`d say the punchiness and articulated sound was always there.

)I`m seriously considering to sell my fretless Zon. It`s probably the most beautiful instrument I`ve owned and my ultimate fretless, but some personal issues are forcing me to do it.
Still can`t decide what to do.
