Shoot I had a guy put his tuners on the wrong sides and string them reversed, then wondered why they wouldn't stay in tune.

Did anyone notice that all the strings are wound the wrong way around the tuning pegs? That puts all the strings in different positions.

If one were to wind the strings in the correct direction, the nut would work in its original position.
