Oh Sears, please don't die

Carhartt is awesome, they are my favorite jackets/coats.

I was going to say all my coats, but I only bought one, in 2000. It has a little wear around the end of the sleeves, but still tough and good as new. This one right here, in that color too. They call it moss.

I have the same coat, dk blue, except mine is FRC - Fire Retardant - a job requirement with a previous employer.

Last year I got a great deal on shirts at sears, nice & thick fleece like material, plus some flannels that were heavy weight. Bought a bunch as Christmas gifts.
This year my wife got me two shirts but they are thin and cut too small, they wont last six months.

Invalid Link Removed

Sears Holdings has rejected Chairman Invalid Link Removed's bid to save the 126-year-old company, setting the storied retailer with more than 50,000 employees on a path to liquidation, people familiar with the situation told CNBC on Tuesday. Sears, which also owns Kmart, planned to announce its liquidation plans Tuesday morning, the people said.

I haven’t been a customer of Sears or Kmart. They have failed miserable in so many ways. However, I’m saddened when any business fails. I hope that the employees find gainful employment elsewhere and that supporting businesses — landlords, lunch stops for employees, etc. — fair well.

There's still hope Sears will survive. A revised bid was submitted by Eddie Lampert, the chairman of Sears.
We should know on January 14th at a bankruptcy hearing scheduled that day to evaluate the options Sears has.

Big week for Sears as a bankruptcy judge in New York will decide if Sears can sell itself to the former CEO's hedge fund. If the judge says no, let the liquidation begin, and Sears will be a goner.
Eddie Lampert has been described by some as the most hated CEO in America. When you look back over some of his actions since he got involved , it's understandable why some feel that way.
