that is indeed not so smart. Maybe Bassperiod should change his name to avoid confusion.
Or maybe just use the name a few days every month.

definitely willing to switch out/around pickups but I'd rather not sell my amp
edit: Can't seem to find f-deck... i think I'm missing something![]()
The F-deck is the HPF Pre. Look for the user fdeck. He makes them.
anyone have experience with wait time for the hpf pre?
Shure SM58. Every sound guy has one, they are dirt cheap so I have an extra in my bag, and they sound great.
What was the result of using a mic with the bass?

I've never had a Fishman, and they do seem to get alot of praise, so I'm sure it's a fine preamp. But the HPF-pre is only 50 bucks. The biggest difference (I think) would be the Fishman has EQ control. Which in my opinion is unnecessary since your amp has an EQ.
Correct my lingo here but F-Deck's HPF is not really a 'preamp' in the strictest terms. It does impedance matching, phase reversal, and has a high pass filter. Definitely all handy things to have and all many of us need.
