ohms and slave amps

ok so i have a vintage 70s ampeg 8x10 rated at 4 ohms. i have an svt 6 pro head (minimum load 4 ohms) is there anyway too hook up another cab with my 4 ohm ampeg without making my cabs into anything under the 4 ohm limit. would using a slave amp provide extra ohms to make up for the drop in ohms? and possibly bring both cabs back up to 4? im told that running two 4 ohm cabs would bring it down to two ohms and one 4 ohm cab with an 8 ohm cab would take it to like 2.6 or something, is there a way to bring the ohms up??? i know the easy answer is to just use two 8 ohm cabs but i love my vintage 8x10

I would recommend adding a line-out to another amp to run the second cab

that would work but i wonder if i could slave it somehow so i can keep the tone of my preferred amp and just use the power of the other one. Actually is that the same thing???? i guess im confused on how slave amps work

that is the way it works, you would just require a poweramp for the other cab, not a full on bass head.

yup, must use a separate power amp to run the 2nd cab. It would come off the 6Pro's preamp OUT.
