ohms course

Is there a link somewhere already that explains how the OHMS thing works. I always forget. This time I will force myself to remember.

I have an older 2x12 non-Neo Avatar bass cab. I might get an SVT-6 Pro, and I just have this feeling the head is way too powerful for the cabinet, which is at 8ohms.

I also have a 10-inch cabinet, at 8ohms, rated for 300 watts.

Am I going to blow these suckers?

You will be showing your amp an 4 ohm load and the same amount of power will be going to both cabs just use some common sense and listen to your cabs if they sound distorted turn the vol down. Just because your amp puts out 600 watts does not mean you need to use it all constantly.
